Joining location is Kolkata while project assigned is based at Hyderabad.
Would it be a good idea to join Accenture or better to stay back at TCS (retention offer: onsite & promotion) - considering I cannot change my base location from Kolkata.

I had HR discussion with TCS today. My current CTC is 20 lpa and I have an offer for 26.5 , expecting one from Genpact for 28.5. The TCS HR said they can provide 27 as CTC and I asked for 28 max. She said she'll check and get back in 2 days.

So I got a story just wanted to share, I'm not sure how to handle the situation. A colleague who joined with me (yrs exp - 1 yr) have been given a manager supporting role (she helps manager and TL with some stuff). We are a team of 60, so she is given the responsibility of taking care of some projects despite her experience. Now she is introducing unnecessary processes to the project which will waste everyone's time and believe me it's not process improvement at all.
