Anyone from Code Vyasa?
I have received an offer of 5lpa + 1lac night shift allowance from Capgemini for the designation of Associate Consultant. I have a few questions if someone can answer - 1. Am I being paid correctly according to this designation? 2. How are the annual appraisals at the organisation and about how much % of hike does one receive on an average. Capgemini
Ps- I have 2.5 years of exp
Hello guys,
Today I had salary negotiation with Capgemini , they are offering 15 lpa with 10% variable. I feel this is a bit low based on current market standards. I asked for 20 initially, but they are not willing to go beyond 15 without any counter offer. HR flat out rejected 20 saying business will not approve. what is the max they will give after providing counter offer? And if i join around November, when will i be eligible for next appraisal? They are offering c1 band.

If there weren't any problems you wouldn't be looking out for a change. The fact that you have started job search, appeared for interviews, probably failed some, and cleared this one, got the offer, says something about your situation with this company. So no point staying back without even getting a raise. WLB today doesn't necessarily mean it will remain tomorrow.

Thank you for the insightful remarks
Infosys offer is for 44 or 55? They give ctc I believe. That's the ctc number
If I am getting these high pkg during switch, I am not going to be worried about hike for next 2 years.

Take Infosys offer else you will regret latter.
With the market being down, getting any higher package will have a worry of layoff as well. But I like to treat this as a different problem. Let's say you work 2 years at a higher package, it will be worth 3 years of lower package. Even if laid off, that extra year can help in negotiating a better package from the already higher package and might be more beneficial. I'll suggest to go for 55LPA Infosys.

Thank you for your point of view. It was worth looking at the problem this way.
They won’t match during year end, I have such experience 4 years ago at HPE
You should ask your manager to give it in written over email that expected salary will be matched with the offer you have in the next appraisal if you really wish to stay with HPE.

Yeah, something Power Programmers the HR was mentioning.
But role is Senior Technologist
Did you join infosys? If yes how is wlb comparing to hpe?
