Smoked yardbird. Spatchcocked & split, with backbone thrown on to include with saved bones for soup later. Smoked fast & hot, 350-450°F, using hickory. Usually use cherry or apple for poultry, but hickory was what I had available. Tasty, but confirmed I prefer fruitwood for lighter meats. Glazed with a sauce of orange marmalade, soy, garlic, fish sauce, adobo chili, and balsamic. Served with corn on the cob roasted in smoker in a foil packet, and a chunky summer tomato-cucumber salad.

Not a flattering picture but I’ve been obsessed with brussel sprouts and roasting them in the oven with a little garlic powder and black pepper

Made steak with garlic yesterday! I wanted some greens but didn’t have brussel sprouts so I made Caesar salad instead. Of course can’t forget an egg which I splashed with a bit of soy sauce.

Decided to make a good ol cheese steak sandwich. I prefer my beef to not be chopped up and I LOVE using sweet onion.

I also prefer my bread to be a little toasty but not too toasty where the roof of your mouth is scrapped off.

Do you like your cheesesteak protein chopped or sliced ?

One of my friends made pizza for us. I never knew toppings play a huge role in the stability and weight of the pizza for lack of better term.

The dough and sauce was made from scratch. We put sausage, mushroom, and pepperoni on the pizza. But as you can tell, we left it in there a little too long

I made a rice cooker recipe for chicken and rice. Was supposed to have ginger but I didn’t have any at the time.

I seasoned the chicken with garlic, oyster sauce, soy sauce and pepper. For the rice, you cook it in chicken broth/stock.

I think I know a few adjustments I would make like possibly less chicken stock since the rice was softer than I would want it to be. But overall it was good !
