As an experience higher you can DEFINITELY negotiate salary. I did when I joined. Told them I had a 10k higher offer and they matched.
Although, I would sacrifice some money to have the mck brand.
Rising Star
I was considering making a jump to McK after they approached me on LinkedIn and ultimately chose not to pursue it. The comp for me would have been significantly higher but the title was a move down (manager to their associate role) and a few other factors made me turn it down.
Rising Star
I had two conversations with the recruiter (one introductory and one serious) but turned down going through with the application before going into case interviews. That’s why I said I chose not to pursue it and did not say I rejected an offer.
Was the reason you were looking elsewhere comp only? If not, those reasons still stand. I also assume at M comp will be better long term anyway.
Uhm. Certainly work life balance and risk of failure at McK
Comp trajectory is another factor. Comp may be higher this year, but will it be higher over they next 2-3 years?
Would it be possible to reopen negotiation regarding salary with McK?
Read your response to another comment - 10k really isn’t that much of a difference when you’re at >200k imo, as a huge chunk of that will be taxed.
Think it should come down to other factors.
What are the two offers?
I think it comes down to what work you want to do. Solutions track is a 3rd class citizen at Mck, so trajectory isn’t going to as steep as the generalist or expert tracks.
