JPMorgan Chase recently introduced a policy change to increase the notice period to 60 days. I'm a 602 and resigned recently and yet my LWD is showing up as 30 days from now. Anyone recently resigned can confirm if they are facing the same or new policy is in effect. This is causing confusion with the next companies I'm interviewing with.

Yeah this changed post-pandemic
A lot have moved to the approach of only cleaning rooms when you ask. If you want it cleaned everyday just ask upon checkin.
Marriott is trying to have fewer cleaning people on staff by saying they’re no longer needed to do daily room cleanings. Read that the housekeeping staff at a lot of the Marriott locations in particular are asking people to request daily cleaning so the rooms aren’t as dirty when people go to check out after longer stays. Marriott management hasn’t allotted more time to clean each room after people check out even though each room is dirtier if not tidied up daily, so having your room cleaned daily actually helps housekeeping stay on top of things. If enough people request daily cleaning then Marriott will be forced to hire more cleaners to bring their staffing closer to pre pandemic levels as well. This is all part of some of Marriott’s recent staffing/labor struggles. Requesting daily cleaning actually should help the people working there get additional help.
You do need to actually request daily cleaning, though. It’s not done automatically like it was pre pandemic.
I’m sure this is not just an issue at marriotts but I remember the article calling out Marriott in particular as a chain that has been understaffing. I don’t think union membership has a lot to do with it other than Marriott perhaps trying to reduce staffing as a method of union busting and of trying to avoid paying too much in higher union mandated wages.
Good lord help me. Thanks.
Need to request cleaning service now after pandemic
Pro
Depends entirely on the hotel and their ability to hire housekeeping staff. First priority is always cleaning the checkout rooms. Next priority is the suites and exec/high-status rooms, then the 2nd/3rd day rooms. Last priority is the no-status rooms after the 1st night of a multi-night stay. You can always request daily housekeeping at check-in but some properties just don’t have the staff to do it every day and they should tell you if that’s the case, at least in premium or luxury properties.
I noticed that too, apparently they no longer clean rooms unless you specifically request it
Yeah this is standard since Covid with most hotels. Just ask if you want it
