I have two years of automotive/aerospace manufacturing experience and am looking for new opportunities. I recently applied to a Solution Engineer - Commercial Manufacturing, Automotive, Energy (MAE) role at Salesforce, and it sounds like a great fit. Is anyone willing to offer me a referral or advice on how to move forward in the hiring process? Salesforce
Hi Fishes,
Does Deloitte USI have any cool down period, if you apply and do not get any response from the company? I had previously applied in a role, but didn't hear back from them. So, I'm planning to try to apply via referral this time and I'm wondering if I should use the same e-mail ID or a different one! Deloitte USI

Ok be honest, candidates. I really love this set of questions, I’ve been considering shifting my current interview style to these questions - I think they really give you an idea of who this person would be within the work setting. But the questions almost feel too deep for a recruiter to ask. What would you think if a recruiter took a different path and asked these questions instead of the usual ones?

Best wishes! The most important piece of advice I can give is to make sure you have your technical skills in order for tech portion of the interview rounds. If you haven't been active for some time, it's best to brush up on your skills before actively looking so you are prepared.
Also I would like to say, you get hired if you show you have github repository where you actively contribute to the project relavant to the job you are applying. Make a personal website showcasing the portfolio, write some tech articles on medium.com. Basically sell yourself, so companies run to grab you.
Network and attend college fairs! You're a recent grad so you still should be able to attend those. Plus, you can leverage the alumni association for networking purposes.
I would agree with teh above - the website/Github stuff is very important and it's about packaging yourself well. Companies will come to you if you get it right. Best of luck with the transition!
