How is Babson College undergrad viewed by consulting firms? Boutiques, Big 4, T2’s, MBB, etc

How are things at mbb these days? Less cases than a year ago, i assume. Any difference in hours or attrition that you’re seeing?

Just had an offer from MBB (🎉) and currently at a T2 firm. What’s the best way to tell my team and partners? I like them all and don’t want to burn bridges, feeling really awkward about bringing it up

I’m 24 working at a no name consultancy firm as a strategy consultant. It’s better than MBB in terms of working hours but can’t see a future here. What would you guys recommend as a next step? I don’t like working long hours BUT like to work with smart people and I’m not surrounded by such smart people in this firm.

Hello sharks, if your firm does not have programs like L1,L2 program, Embark etc offered to newly hired consultants at MBB what resources are out there to learn from? Paid or unpaid. TIA

Currently making $250-300k in an IC tech job. I have thought about trying again for MBB (stopped the interview after I got this job) to grow faster for more supervisory or strategically oriented tech jobs but the pay cut, much worse wlb, and worse tech are hard to swallow. Does it even make sense to go to MBB with that goal? Especially when I could just focus harder on growing where I am?

Got into Booth, Kellogg, and Columbia, no $ unfortunately but excited regardless. Which one should I go to if I want to transition into Tech PM. Did my undergrad and worked in Chicago hence wanted to diversify and move to NY for the tech scene there but potentially move to SF post-MBA. At which point of the MBB career path would you say the learning turns mostly into becoming a better consultant vs a more general business skill set? I've heard EM / PL / M is the peak and after that the skills become less transferable. Would people agree?

Recently received offer for trader position at a small prop trading firm (think flow trader, wolverines and Belvedere), and an entry level position at MBB.
Which one would you choose and why? (The trader position make 60k more than MBB for the first year)

Scenario time:

Easier for a 30 year-old Harvard MBA MBB consultant to become a NBA player or a 30 year-old NBA player to produce world class decks?
Easier for a masterclass plumber to run a complex excel forecast or a Partner who's never done a lick of blue collar work in his / her life to replace a sump pump?
More likely to commit an ethical trade breach: consultant or stripper?
