Levels.fyi has only PM salaries. I haven’t been told the level but expect it to be L4.
What total comp would you expect for this role? Any advice would be super helpful, as I’m a bit lost.

Got a random email from a supposed Amazon recruiter for a SDE position (which is not at all a fit). The email is amazon.com domain and there are no red flags in the body but it doesn't feel like an Amazon recruiter due to the tacky signature, etc. Has anyone seen this kind of cold-calling from FAANG recruiter?

If you want to be a banker, then you did make a mistake. If you want to work in PE or corporate finance, you probably made a mistake. If you want to work in VC, you may have made a mistake. If you want to do anything else, you most likely did not make a mistake.

Well done 👍

Not unless you wanted to work 100-hr weeks in your late 20s

Yea 100% a huge mistake. I went from consulting to IB post-MBA and make close to a million a year in my early 30s now.
How did you even interview for both consulting and IB @ the same time?
Chief
What do you want to do?
I wanted to go to BB but was not ready to relocate to NY and was worried about the strain on relationships with partner/family the workload would take
Yesn't

Long story short you should have a fine career with MBB and if the recession happens layoffs may be slower than i banks. Having two good years at MBB would be preferable to getting fired after one year in ibanking.
You could support due diligences at MBB to get an ibanking flavor.
No. You’re future industry employer doesn’t know what any of those things are
If you really like making $$ then yes

IBs are in the midst of aggressive layoffs and MBB isn’t…
