Thoughts on Engage NY/Eureka math...

I’m have a new theory about why juniors always feel like idiots and wanted to see if anyone else thinks this makes sense. I’m a third year, and am the most junior person all of my teams (generally me, a senior or two, and a partner or two), and I always feel like I’m messing something up. Is this just because I never get to work with other juniors and don’t see the mistakes they make, and that it’s relatively normal? And FWIW I went to HYS and I’ve had a clerkship so it’s not like I’m not smart

Been working freelance for the past year and I've made more money and connections than I did while at my previous agency. This is a life tip for young creatives: you value your own work, don't let anyone else do so.

Is anyone else in the same boat where we are much younger than our peers in industry but make the same amount? Kinda awkward to think about when my teammates starting remarking how young I was.

New to consulting. Do you try to get staffed on projects based on location? Is this a thing?

Anyone successfully onboarded/trained someone remotely? Any advice? (My small firm still having a few interns this summer and I’m training them, trying to plan ahead to ensure they’re successful)

A friend of mine from a top tier consulting firm was counseled out. Do you consider it ethical that his career counselor is intentially spreading the information to his colleagues and to other consultants from other companies in the project? What can he do about it? Specially that he considers the potential layoff is purely based on the current situation (chargeability was low) and not on his performance (they said that his contribution to BD during his bench time was low)?

One of the reasons I want to transition from industry to consulting (tier 1) is that I get frustrated when I have to collaborate with mediocre people. My assumption is that Tier 1 consulting firms hire really sharp people and if I can get in, I’ll be collaborating with folks on top of their game (not expecting much from clients). I’m aware there are personal aspects I need to work on like my mindset, patience etc etc, but I just get so frustrated with blatant stupidity.

What are the main reasons why you would recommend going big 4 instead of MBB? Have any of you successfully swayed a candidate to go big 4 instead of MBB?
