Bain & Company Atlanta people! I’m in the process of applying for MBA programs and wanted to ask what recruiting is like for MBB from Emorys program? Is there a reasonable shot at getting into the Atlanta office from Emory, or are those openings primarily filled by other schools (Duke, UVA, etc.)

I had interviewed for an internship position at EY for technology consultant program for summer 2022 and got a call where they extended an offer. I wanted to know if I can defer the internship offer to fall 2022 or a later start date after summer.
I apologize as I cannot reply to a comment or DM on this platform to anyone, but thanks for your answers in advance.
🥱🥱 you can’t never trust nobody

PwC A recruiter from PWC reached out to me to ask if I’d consider a different office the one I applied to, since it’s full. It would be Boston, Hartford, Chicago, Minneapolis, Little Rock, Denver, San Francisco or San Jose. MSA candidate. Is there a fully remote option? Do you have to be in the office all the time? Is the compensation high at PWC? Is there a possible moving expenses? Any insight or advice would help me make a decision. Thank you!

As an ADC applying this summer for 2022 start, I haven’t gotten a chance to connect with any L.E.K. Consulting members and I really want to get to know the company better before moving on with my application. Any L.E.K. Consulting fish out there willing to spare a few minutes to chat about their work, the company, the culture etc? Thanks!
McKinsey & Company I received an offer from McKinsey & Company in 2021 and I’ll be starting later this year after graduation. Obviously because of the pandemic, inflation is slowly trending upwards. Has anyone asked for a base salary increase before even starting the job? Any advice on how to approach this?

You want to take a gap year in a rocky economy and defer a top tier consulting role? Just trying to understand why

Tbh, probably not going to happen. I tried to defer M two months for my wedding and they said no lol

Hey kid, READ THIS AGAIN. Welcome to consulting
My buddy at M deferred his start from Sept to Feb
Maybe gap year is the wrong term but I meant a year after graduation to pursue something more unconventional (maybe Americorps or teaching programs abroad). Know this isn’t the best economy for unconventional but I’m more worried it’ll be harder to do these things after my career starts so I’d rather take the risk now than later

Out of my depth, but best of luck 🫡
Start in Jan?
No chance. However you're right, no time like the present if that's what your gut tells you. I'd take a tough, honest conversation with my would be employer than live with regret the rest of my life.
You’re not so valuable that they can just let you go for a year and come back after. That stuff is for founding member of firms or groundbreaking tech software engineers. Not a fresh out of college job searcher. If you want to do community service in the real world the old adage for dating applies here. If he wanted to he would have. Meaning you can juggle two priorities just something else has to go usually weekends or evenings. Sorry to be harsh in the first half but your worth to a firm you haven’t worked for before is not that high to just disappear for a year and have a job back.
I’m headed to BCG and I know Jan 2024 is a start date option. Why not take the full 6 months and make that work? Year seems a difficult ask, but maybe not impossible. I’d ask someone you spoke with during recruiting who really felt like they “got it”/“got you” for their thoughts- might not fly tho.
The experience you’ll gain being a citizen of the world is far more valuable. If that’s where you’re supposed to be you’ll make it back there. I joined the Air Force rather than taking a role at JPMorgan and don’t regret a minute of it. Guess where I ended up at for 2 yrs of my IB career? You guessed it, JPMorgan. Fortune favors the bold and nothing beats a great story when you a superior worker anyway. Go be great!

Go to McKinsey for a year then ask if you can do your americor thing. It doesn’t work the other way around they will think you’re unstable
I get rejected at the resume level and this guy wants to take a gap year? 😭
Try 2 contract work for them on a temporary part time basis for 6 mths and then take a leave of absence for the remainder of the year, just to keep the door open. Sometimes life happens and you can’t take it. If you have some availability try to work in a different role for that department or another department as a intern or something to keep you on payroll for 6 mths. If none of those options work for you then collect HR info 2 apply & follow up. Volunteer remote 2 stay connected & relevant

No. They have specific hire numbers annually so if you want to push it, you would have to withdraw and then re-apply.
"Annually" varies since it is campus recruiting so someone could push from a winter to spring to summer to fall start but not a whole year. Or, if we let them, the location was not guaranteed.
Ooooh that is going to be a had one. You can ask but it is unlikely they will say yes.
