Hoping to get my PHR in the next year or so. Outside of employer reimbursement, are there other opportunities for this to get funded? I know SHRM Foundation offers scholarships for the CP, but I am looking for PHR specific help. Thank you! :)
I have worked in the HR space for the past 9 years, however most of my experience has been in Talent Acquisition. I do want to move into a People Operations/Generalist role. I’m planning to go for a HR certificate but unsure if I should go for a PHR or SHRM. Please advise!

With offices reopening across the US this summer, are any agencies requiring their staff to provide proof of vaccinations or negative test to go into the office? I am interested in which agencies are BUT also your comments on whether that policy would help ease safety concerns you might have around going into an office.

Got an offer to exit to an awesome smaller SaaS company with an amazing culture. They were a top choice out of all the companies I was interviewing with and the role is exactly what I want to be doing. Offer came in at $152k base with $67k RSUs. Team seems great and I had a really good vibe with the hiring manager. Only con is I have to relocate to the Bay Area. Currently 3.5 YOE in analytics consulting at ACN (S&C) at $102k base, but low cost of living. I’d be stupid not to take it, right?
Having the comp convo soon with a partner. Those of you who have actually gotten a bump out of one, what was your case to the partner?
Made it past the 4th and final round of a job interview and was completely ghosted by the company. It happens. But it made me think - is online dating app culture seeping into corporate culture?
Question for current moms - did you lose weight to or before getting pregnant? Were you able to maintain a manageable weight? Not pregnant yet but so scared of gaining too much and having long term health issues due to weight gain.
What are your thoughts on the value of a Harvard Extension School degree vs. a standard online MBA from a reputable public university? I feel like the Harvard name carries a lot of value....
Do you think your peers bill their time accurately? I’ve been using the timer on my time management website and trying to keep myself honest for my Instagram breaks, but my mentor (I’m a first year) said he just estimates time based on how many hours he worked that day. Our NYC V-5 firm always does block billing so it’s incredibly easy to say “8 hours on matter X”. Anyway, especially with work from home increasing distractions, do you keep yourself honest with billing?
I have an offer for a finance role from one of the faang companies out of Seattle. Total comp is little over $400k. Is this a respectable offer? I’m currently based out of a tier-3 city and working for one of the big4s.
My gf booked an spg property hotel under her account but she doesn’t have status, is it possible for me to keep the reservation (she already paid I think) but have it so it’s under my spg account?
Ten+ years Accenture, tech strategy, in MD pipeline. Love the job. Received strong, qualified offer of recommendation to BCG. Is it worth considering? Side comment - No MBA, has never mattered.
So, recruiter just called with an offer but leveled down on the position. Does anyone here have success stories to sticking with the position you interviewed for (what did you say/do)?

I’m interested in transitioning to a role in the consumer markets sector. I’ve been on a staff aug project doing back office compliance work so I’ve been trying to apply to different firms but I’m not having much luck. As additional background I’ve been running a successful side hustle for about 6 years, and I’ve gotten a decent understanding of growing a small business, consumer habits, but unfortunately I don’t have any consulting experience in consumer markets. Any advice or leads? TIA!
PwC reached out to me regarding a Senior Associate role in the IT Risk Assurance - Cloud Controls offering. What could expected comp be? Not looking to jump ship but comp could change my mind after the disaster that was Deloitte compensation the past 2 years.
All the standard tax standard shelters are fully funded (401k, ira, hsa, 529). What is the best practice for additional long term savings? Assuming I’ll stay in salaries consulting for next few years
What do you say in an exit interview? How truthful and frank should you be? Especially if you are leaving bcoz of your manager and internal politics.
Am I thinking long-term and being smart or am I passing up $$$ “dumbing down” and selling life insurance...
Does anyone have any experience with leaving Google then attempting to rejoin after 1 or 2 years? I read online that is mostly about your manager's feedback upon your leave, and that you could sometimes be easily accepted again and sometimes without an interview. I am particularly concerned as I would only be working for a year and I don't know if that's enough time to get a good enough feedback. P.s I am starting next month, but I know I might need to leave after a year for a family matter.
I’m pregnant and have been at my job for a few months to qualify for the state family leave which is only 4 weeks. I’m wondering what others have done to prolong their maternity leave when starting a new job.
