What’s average salary in ID firm mid size (NY) about 350 attorneys ? Class of 2019 but was in public sector (criminal law) for 2 years! 2000 billable hours minimum

Any thoughts/opinions on Hogan Lovells and their Capital Markets practice (especially any insight into the culture, associate-partner relations, quality of work, work/life balance, etc.)?

Probably a foolish question: are bonuses based off of raw billable hours or billable hours modified by the partners?

What are some roles you have seen sales people successfully transition to (from tech/SaaS)?

So just starting a new Position. At thia time I was looking for a good base as need to be stable.

has anybody given short notice when leaving a job? one week instead of two? how did you approach it? i don’t know why i feel so nervous.

How many billable hours per week is considered at capacity? I’m getting pushback on boundaries I’m setting about additional matters and marketing work from my firm when I’ve been billing 60-75 hours per week for the last 6 weeks, and I’m still behind on my work. I feel like it’s reasonable to not kill myself further to fit in more/turn things around faster at this point, but am I being unreasonable? I expect my workload to remain at this level through the end of the year at least.

Trying to explain billable hrs to hubs. I billed 160 this month, which he said “is only 40 hr weeks” (true) - but how many hrs do you figure you “work” or are in the office to bill 150?

Best way to reduce taxes on severance pay? Receiving bonus and severance, tips for saving money. Open to charity etc. I’m afraid that most of this will go into taxes. I will max out my IRA.

Does the word “inclusion” do more harm than good? What if the panel we simply said “Diversity & Equity”? My thought here is that inclusion insinuates that anyone who isn’t in the “majority” needs to feel “included”, which could be somewhat off putting. Hey folks, I got an offer from IBM ISL, But the offer is dated 2 months as joining date, but my notice period is 3 months. This was agreed by the hiring manager. He also offered Joining bonus if I could join in 2 months. HR said the date is tentative and they will renew the offer, so I accepted the offer. Now am running behind the HR to get the offer renewed. Can I trust their words, or will they backout from the offer after 2 months. Please help.

Hi everyone, I got an offer from Capgemini and the joining location is Pune but my preferred location is Noida. I saw on LinkedIn and other websites that Capgemini is hiring for the same role in NCR as well. Is it possible to get my location changed before joining?
