Ever feel disadvantaged by being the "new guy" at the office?
You're not alone: over 70% of new hires feel this way.
What if I told you it's your best launch pad for success?
I'm about to tell you why you have the absolute advantage.
Every disadvantage has its advantage.
When starting a new job, there will always be disadvantages to being new.
You may need to familiarize yourself with the software or the company's processes.
You may need to get used to how your new team works

Hello! Is anyone here who is currently enrolled in Utel University? Or even planning to enroll yet? They are offering online classes available across different countries in the US, Asia, etc. I hope you could share your feedback or experience, please? Thank you!
Currently have about close to 3 years of end to end HR business partnering experience under my belt. Any tips on what's needed for me to better position myself for a consultancy role in the future? Any thoughts and inputs really appreciated!
Hello my first post, DME Territory Manager, who else sells DME.? Do you find that the market is saturated? Love the work and the company. But I feel like am fighting for scrapes.
Just wrapped a round 1 Account Manager interview with T-Mobile
Does anyone have experience with T-Mobile, share any insight, pros/cons, etc?
More specifically the role is managing Government Contracts.
I'm wondering if anyone has implemented a performance management system where individuals are positioned to their strengths and evaluated and rewarded for them as opposed to a system that encourages employees to stretch across multiple areas and then ding them for weaknesses.
For example, current system expects client service, talent management and sales. If you don't sell, then you're not as good as someone who does all 3. But what if your strength is talent and we could leverage that.
I am struggling with the fact that I have 13 years of HR experience in one capacity or another, along with a bachelors degree and my PHR designation yet companies say “I’m not qualified or they ghost me when I apply for HR openings. I am experienced in all aspects of HR. How are people with little to no experience coming right out of college obtaining higher level roles than I have currently? It makes my passion for the field just go away.
What's a reasonable yearly quota as a percentage of total book size? 10% of book? 20%? 50%? 100%?
Specifically SaaS sales, only existing clients.
Hey! Is there any hiring managers looking for HR / Talent Acquisition candidates. I have a MBA in HRM, 2 years experience within HR, was on track to become an HRBP at Amazon but chose to go into to Talent Acquisition due to a toxic work environment. I’m looking for a new role and would to speak with someone regarding new opportunities or even to discuss some pointer on how to pivot into a new role!
If you were given a chance to change one decision you made in your life career-wise, what is it and why?
I am considering Customer Success based on my experience maximizing current accounts. However I am assuming I am potentially underselling or belittling what that role consists of. My understanding is, essentially take the typical expectations of a AE and remove the Net New aspects. Your primary goals are to retain and expand.
That is my understanding, without being offensive, is it that simple?
Recruiters!! Is reaching out to the recruiter who organised the interviews after a few days (since no feedback was given as of yet) a sign of desperation? And would that affect salary negotiations? Asking for a friend !
Has anyone bought/ done the HRCI Certificate in Diversity and Inclusion in HR Management? I already have my PHR, but I’m looking to gain more knowledge/skills and beef up my resume. Is it worth doing? The course is $239 and you get 12 Recert credits with it.
I am a sales rep and have worked extremely hard to build a large book of business. Every year upper management seems to find a way to cut commissions and make my hard work, worth less. Is this common? It’s pretty draining to work harder and get paid less year over year even though you’re typically getting more business. I don’t feel valued. Do more for less? Any other great sales companies/ industries that people are happy with and compensated accordingly? Preferably uncapped commissions
I’m trying to get certified for Workday HCM but it seems impossible when you don’t work with a company that uses this system. Any ideas of how I can get my foot in the door? Any other HCM systems that offer career-developing certs?
How impactful it’s to be SHRM certified?
What are some tangible goals I can discuss with my manger during our 1:1’s? Curious to hear what other people’s goals in tech sales are. Had anyone done a roadmap on career development ?
Is anybody else having a really difficult time hiring for employees to work in the office full-time? My boss is against working remotely or offering a hybrid option. I’ve never had such a hard time filling roles. This includes finding a new in-house recruiter.
Anyone have any advice on how to break into customer success? I've been a BDR for over 2 years now, and I've learned a lot from that role. My next step I feel is a CSM or CSA. I am more of a farmer than a hunter and I'm very customer-centric. I find my strengths are in CS but it seems like you need experience within CS to break into CS. Any tips or referrals? Thanks!
What’s a reliable affordable source for analyst reports on public companies? Also is there a source to get access to Investor decks/presentations?
Hi Tax Friends. Seeking some advice. I will give more context in the comments, but big picture I am a non-tax litigator interested in switching to tax. The question is: (1) pursue LLM; (2) take tax job now; (3) just treat tax as a hobby?
Anyone know comp for manager and above at Parthenon-EY? Do team members get cross-staffed on non-Parthenon projects and vice versa?
Anyone at PwC working in the Sales and Marketing team? I would like to connect and ask a few questions 😊

Trying to make a lateral move from Big 4 M&A to an EB or MM bank. When do vacancies become posted online once people flee after bonus season?
HCL Technologies Chennai or Bangalore? Which is better in terms of projects and opportunities?
If I want to finance a private party purchase with a car loan from a credit union, how does it work from a tactical perspective. Say I’m looking to purchase a car in the $15-20k range - my credit is good and my local CU offers 2.5% for 48 months, so it’s smart to use financing since the cash is so cheap.
How much do I get approved for? Do they just wire me the cash and I bring them the title later or do they issue a cashiers check to the seller for the exact vehicle I’m buying?
Need 11 likes please help :)
Since the ESPP was disqualified due to sold less than 2 yrs of the grant date, the answer for the Company portion on this example seems off. The Co. should be able to deduct the W-2 portion, right?

https://andieandal.com/how-to-help-black-women-in-the-workplace/. I love Andi Kramer. I particularly like the following section where she says it requires action not just talk. “Your goal in supporting Black women in the workplace is not to earn praise, feel virtuous, or assuage your guilt—it is to make things better for them. So I ask - what are you doing - share so we all can act too
