What’s your favorite piece of sales related software your company uses, and which is your least favorite?
My male boss recommended the book “The Confidence Code” which is a self help book for women. It was recommended to all the females that work under him. I feel like that's a little inappropriate?
How do Talent leaders run effective recruitment meetings? Do you focus on key metrics and priority roles? Are you doing anything else to hold others accountable? Would love to hear more!
Currently, we're using JazzHR for our ATS and importing new hires in ADP WorkForce Now, our HRIS and where we run payroll. JazzHR has been great, and ADP has mostly been a pain. We're also using Concur for expenses. Just did a demo with Paycom and was generally really pleased, except the ATS which seems really bare bones compared to JazzHR. Is it worth trading the ease and functionality of our standalone ATS to get an all-in-one solution?
End of Quarter - COVID edition. How has everyone done this quarter? Any adjustments or quota relief?
Does anyone have a recommendation for a list broker? I am trying to find a legitimate vendor and I can’t seem to find one that doesn’t seem to be run out of a seedy back room.
TABS is doing another 30-day sales challenge, and there are 4 spots left. Anyone interested in learning more? Super easy challenge IMO and easy to hit the mark to get the $3K payout.
Would my bosses let me move to work in a different state? I work as an internal consultant within KPMG, working for the firm within the internal HR team. I have been with KPMG for 5 months but I am wanting to move back home to be with my family - on the other side of the country. There’s only a 2 hour Timezone difference and I’d make sure to work on current time. My line manager I report to lives in another state to me anyway - and it seems to work well for her. Am I pushing my luck to ask?
Do seasoned enterprise reps actually think that MEDDIC helps the sales process? This is coming from the perspective that champions are undervalued and the economic buyer in a F500 company does not usually speak with vendors. The market here is developer tooling. Curious to hear thoughts as many sales leaders use MEDDIC as an inspection tool to manage sales reps with little practical value for deals.
I am looking for best practices in reducing anxiety in the workplace, especially for remote workers. What are you all doing?
I’m studying for the SHRM-CP with the Mometrix (study guides, online course, and flash cards), however I’m super overwhelmed with all of the information. What are some best practices to ensure I grasp all of the concept ? Any advice would be much appreciated!!!
Will Workday be more or less relevant to you in a few years? My org is looking at adopting Workday for HR and some FP&A purposes. We try to be a forward looking org and only adopt things that will be relevant a few years down the road. We've heard mixed things about Workday and I just want to hear from those that use it what you think. Will it be more or less relevant to your org a few years from now?
I wanted to pass along a sales class opportunity for all of yall. I will add the disclaimer that I am in no way making any commission by showing you this. In fact, I am paying myself to take this course. The presenter Jamal is a down-to-earth guy that has a passion for sharing what he has learned in his sales career. He is responsible for bringing in $160M projects at Oracle. Give the course a look if you are interested.
I have a question for the sales managers out there. What motivated you to pursue a career change from front line sales to managing a team of sales professionals? I ask, because as I look to the future I am wondering if just staying on the front lines will be more lucrative then entering management.
Have you ever experienced workplace trauma? If so, how did it impact your personal life and mental health?
How do you get evaluated in your role in HR? I run the HR department (if you wanna call it that) at a medium sized startup and the people I answer to have never given any kind of metric or measurement of success. What do/should I use to measure myself?
Curious, how many companies out there have a dedicated learning and development team? If you don't, who is responsible for the development of your employees?
Has anyone successfully transitioned from sales management in beer/spirits industry in to cannabis? I’ve seen a few roles I’d be qualified for in the Chicago area at Canopy Growth Corp and Cresco but haven’t had much activity on my apps without connections/referrals. Appreciate advice and/or connecting me to the company!
I keep seeing a lot of happy postings about leaving PA and getting a job with impressive salary, bonus and benefits in Industry. Can anyone share their experience as in which type of roles they chose upon leaving audit and suggest any company names based in NYC to look into? Thanks in advance.
Any BCG Platinion SC/M who can answer a few questions? I have just ended positively the full round of interviews. *Might* have an offer soon.
How do you deal with not caring about work anymore? I'm a high-performing senior with no intention of staying until manager, but the jobs I'm interested in won't realistically hire until the economy improves. I fluctuate between "grateful to have a job" and "dreading each day until a covid vaccine"...
Current level C1 105k and 15% off stock and 1-20% target bonus to 115 base 15% and 200k equity.. good move?
For those, like me, who are getting Covid complacent: this isn’t over yet. My 36 year old cousin died today, he caught the virus working in the kitchen of a nursing home. He had asthma and diabetes so was high risk, but he was in a county with 7 total deaths before today so he thought he was safe. A father of four, only child to a single mother, only grandchild of the grandparents he lived with. Even if you can catch this virus and be ok, please remember who you could spread it to.
Comp call was a joke. Good thing I'm leaving soon. #grassishellagreener #whytheeffdidistaythislong #theonethatgotaway
Guy lies about his compensation because he's insecure about his low income so he inflates the number. Red flag? The number doesn't matter to me, but the lie does. Should I run?
Lets not forget conservatives fired the team trained to handle pandemics https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/trump-fire-pandemic-team/?fbclid=IwAR2TfIb5770LQ0LF861yGePRqmuWjnS4ehTLUFR-KTEykQqV7W891PNbFW4
Are any firms in Toronto currently hiring? I'd love to discuss any openings with you. Recently got an offer from FAANG that got rescinded due to budget cuts. Looking for a new op to grow!
Is it really true that if you stay with the wrong guy it’ll be hard for you to recognise the right guy when he comes along? Wouldn’t a better guy, by definition, blow the wrong guy out of the water?
Is it worth it to try and leave consulting right now? I’m almost at my 2 year mark at a Big4 as a TC I’ve been wanting to leave for awhile but with the current economic state is it futile to go?
I really don't think people are getting "re-infected." I think they have false negatives and then later test positive on repeat testing
I currently don’t have an AD. I’m mixed and matched with different ones at my agency. I want to move and have a permapartner. But what happens if I take a new job and find out the AD and I don’t mesh?
I’m a senior who got a part-time position at a legal consulting firm. Reasonable hourly rate suggestions? I’m thinking $20, thoughts?
