You’re constantly showing up for everyone else, but who’s showing up for you? I started an initiative to coach HR/people leaders because I know what it’s like to be doing all the things for everyone else with little support or focus on your own well-being, growth and development. It’s a lonely game! I’d be delighted to create the space to make you a priority. Would love to offer a free session, or simply connect: https://www.chrisrollins.me/peopleleaders.
Looking for advice on project management software or tools for HR consulting. Our firm doesn’t have anything that is standard or used at all, and while some of us are starting to venture into using Microsoft Teams, I feel like there are so many tools out there and we could be doing things way more efficiently. We work in small client teams (1-3 team members per client usually) and it’s a mix of strategy, tactical, and outsourced HR work. Any suggestions?
Anyone here a member of Revenue Collective? Is it worth it? What kind of value have you gotten out of it if so? Thanks!
Any female MM/ENT AEs with SaaS or Fintech experience looking to make a move? Series D company positioned to IPO in 2 years. Would be wild if this works lol
Hey guys! Our teammate is going through a pretty tough time, I wasn’t sure if this would be appropriate to post, but seeing as though this is a sales group, and my man Braxton is a sales beast... I thought I could try posting and apologize later. If you can give please do, if you can share please, if you can pray please, please do. We’re so close to getting his expenses covered, and after all he’s done to show up to our team.. I’m trying to show up to him in my fullest capacity. Thank you!!
Does anyone have a dashboard or excel template for turnover/attrition where data can be easily “dumped” in for a beautiful display? TIA!
Good morning, I work for Solugenix placing top notch candidates at companies throughout the US. I just started at Solugenix so anyone who needs any assistance either finding a job or looking for candidates please let me know. Thanks and have a great day.
How long, on average, did it take you to study before you could pass the PHR/SPHR exam? Did you think it was worth it?
Need to define diverse talent metrics to create a scorecard. Challenge is that the available data is based on opting in/out of self identification, that data point can change dramatically YOY. Any recommendations on metrics and scorecard?
I was laid off from a resource management role, working with employees approaching or on the bench, working with managers to staff projects, and support functions like report creation, scheduling, etc. Roles like this are few and many large consulting firms have frozen internal hiring. Do you think it would be beneficial to get a SHRM cert? Would that help get a "talent related" HR role? Worth the money? I have a background in recruitment as well.
Advice on taking and passing the SPHR exam?
I’m not happy where I’m at, my abilities aren’t being maximized as I’m spread thin, and I know I’m being undervalued. Recently graduated and in property management w/ 3-4 years sales experience. Currently on the hunt for Sales/Account Management roles leaning more towards consumer goods, then tech. Any advice?
Any thoughts on the best certifications to get in order to help move forward? I have considered the CCP from World at Work, but it’s fairly pricey to get by the time you wrap up everything. I was looking at both SHRM-CP and SPHR. Everyone that I have spoken to has the SHRM, but that’s also only looking at individuals in a small geographic footprint and within 3-4 different companies. I was hoping to get some thoughts on this from others? Thanks
I graduated with my bachelor's in HRM and I'm wondering if there are any certifications or trainings I could do before I lock down on the SHRM-CP. I recently became HIPAA certified for my company and that got me thinking about what else I could do to add to my resume. Looking for good stepping stone certificates.
Is it worth it to get a professional certification like SHRM/PHR? Not many of my colleagues have one and it’s not a requirement for my role, but I’m curious if it’s worth it in the long run
I’m mid-level in my HR career at my current company and an upcoming Master’s graduate. Studying for my SHRM-CP too. How did you make the transition to that next level? What skills do you need, or is it really just based on YOE (I am the youngest compared to my teammates, many who have 10+ YOE)? I feel like career pathing is not very clear at my company. Each time I ask for guidance on this from my manager, I get told they’ll look into it.... would love some external mentorship and thoughts 🙏🏼
Are you folks happy with your decision to make a career in sales? I’m young working in tech sales, but also have my bachelors in psychology, and could see my self happily going for my masters maybe even PHD and being a counselor.
How much value do companies place on HR experience in a specific industry? My thought is that HR is HR wherever you go, and it shouldn’t be difficult to switch industries (e.g. manufacturing to financial services), mid- to late-career. But what has been your experience?
Can anybody help me with comp expectation and career progression at Oliver Wyman, for a Senior Consultant based out of NY
For those in roles outside PA audit/tax/SOX/internal controls, please tell me a little bit about your projects, hours, travel, likes/dislikes. Researching what the possibilities can be, thank you so much!
Anyone have any insights on JPMC strategy manager role, work life balance? VP level for group within the investment bank.
I am interested in switching to Product Management for a tech company but not ready to jump ship yet. Currently I am a Advisory Senior Associate and have the opportunity to take on a Project Manager role at my current tech client. This is not where I want to take my career but I will do it if it may increase my chances of breaking into Product in near future. Would having such on my resume/gaining this experience help? Do recruiters looks for this? Thanks in advance.
How many days of PTO do you all actually take a year? I'd say I probably average around 8 days (not including holidays)
Looking for PASTA restaurant recommendations. No budget limit, looking for absolutely mind blowing penne/spaghetti. I’m sick and tired of eating pasta that’s worse than what I can cook with 10 dollar grocery store ingredients. What’s the best in NY?
Hi! I just applied for a position at Guidehouse. Does anyone have any insights regarding their experience working there/willing to provide a referral? I think this position would be a really good fit for me but I don’t know anyone personally/professionally at Guidehouse. Thank you!

Hi everyone. Have 4 years of work exp with PwC advisory with a mix of data and PMO kind of roles. I’m not keen on pursuing any roles that are very tech or data heavy. Anyone can share insights about the Diversity Rotational Program at FTI consulting? Recruiter reached out and I’m curious to see what are the type of projects, culture and growth opportunities. Thanks so much 🙏
Do the Priority Pass lounges at IAD take the app for entry? Left my physical card at home.
COVID has had a silver lining for me, reduced outside food and alcohol consumption. Was a heavy drinker with half a fifth on even weeknights, if not more. Now once in a fortnight or longer and just couple of drinks at most. Lost weight too! Used MJ as alternative. Any similar or opposite experiences?
Are firm holiday party's always formal? Ours has been formal in the past but was always at formal venues. This year it's at a fratty-ish bar so really dressy would seem weird
