Fellow litigation associates, how long does it take you to review e-mails in a document production from the other side? For example, how long would you estimate to review 1000 pages of emails?
You said: “We have accepted all changes in your redline.” The Truth-O-Meter (aka “Compare Docs”) determined that was a lie.
Question- if someone sues you on state law claims. You want to then claim violation of a federal law in a counter claim can you remove to federal court without diversity of citizenship
Thinking about doing a startup in the law space. I have always been frustrated editing contracts. Would any of you be interested in a searchable clause bank that lived in Microsoft word? You would be able to search for a particular clause and then add or replace it to your current document.
Hello please can I find Victoria’s boot camp I keep hearing about this being great to study for shrm exam but I can’t find it anywhere thank you
I’m planning to buy the study materials for the SHRM-CP certificate through Amazon. What are the best ones to obtain?
Let’s talk staff gifts for the holidays. For those in BigLaw, how much do you all usually spend on secretary and paralegal gifts?
Hi everyone, Looking for a M&A HR checklist that includes due diligence through integration. I have one but would like to see what else is out there and compare. Happy to share my email directly.
Hi everyone! Looking for some guidance on resources you use for benchmarking for workforce planning/DEI specifically in the tech space?
Found out from an administrator at the firm that the firm’s hours have been low across the board over the past couple months. Is this cause for concern as an associate?
Job hunting: For writing samples, would employers prefer a redacted due diligence memo (PowerPoint format) or a redacted memorandum?
New Partner. My other partners want to change benefits and perks around to attract more young talent - I need to brainstorm ideas. What great thing does a company offer that makes you want to work there (besides compensation obviously)?
After a full day of mediation or deposition I am not only wiped but I often then feel like taking the next day (or at least morning) easy. I’m not sure if I’m just beginning to feel burned out or if I have a bigger issue with “professional stamina.” Does anyone else feel this way?
I’m mid-level in my HR career at my current company and an upcoming Master’s graduate. Studying for my SHRM-CP too. How did you make the transition to that next level? What skills do you need, or is it really just based on YOE (I am the youngest compared to my teammates, many who have 10+ YOE)? I feel like career pathing is not very clear at my company. Each time I ask for guidance on this from my manager, I get told they’ll look into it.... would love some external mentorship and thoughts 🙏🏼
How long does it take to get over ptsd from being in a toxic micromanaging environment? I was a top biller and top manager at a large staffing company for five years and was treated like a child. The place was crazy. Six months into my new role I’m still scared to request PTO or afraid that my boss would be mad if she found that I took an afternoon break to walk my dog.
How exactly do I put a lateral move on my resume? It’s at same firm with the same title just a new role.
Anyone have any insight into VC/Emerging Growth work? Particularly as it relates to day to day work, exit options, and work life balance? Currently a junior in a very specialized practice group working closely with hedge funds. I generally have consist hours with minimal weekend work although lower than market pay. I find my current work interesting but a little worried about exit options and would like to get an idea of what else is out there before it’s too late.
Anyone in marketing law? Just started a new job looking for any recommendations (books, blogs) to brush up on.
Are there any CA family law firms looking to contract out work (legal research, drafting briefs, disclosures, forms, discovery, etc.)? I have over 6 years of experience and am well-versed in family code and case law. (My attorney is on family leave so we don't have the workload I'm used to right now, and my husband might be switching jobs with a pay cut, so it wouldn't hurt to earn some extra money.) Thanks!
Do seasoned attorneys still have “nightmares” about law school? Last night I dreamt that I was two weeks late to turn in a final paper and wouldn’t graduate unless I could convince my professor to accept it after the due date. This scenario never actually happened, but still some residual angst and insecurity must have fueled it. I graduated from Columbia Law School in 2008, over a decade ago- how does it still haunt me?
Refinancing 200k MBA Loan. Should I do 12 years at 4.5% or 15 years at 3.9%? I want to pay if off quicker but I also want to make sure I don’t have too much to pay if I get laid off soon.
I am starting to be really considered with my stomach bloating. It’s like I am pregnant. I started back on pills due to ovarian cyst (not diagnosed with pcos) and I’ve gained weight but it’s not terrible. However, my stomach is ridiculously bloated especially two weeks prior to my period! What do I do?!
Is it safe to resign with H1b transfer approved, but before doing background check and drug test? Any considerations?
Can I wear a black leather pencil skirt to work? I’m in my early 30s and a partner if it matters. Work with financial services and private equity clients, generally all men. Would they notice/care?
A recruiter reached out to me for a Program Analyst position at Google. The Job Description seems to require 4 years in consulting, but glassdoor salary for Program Analyst is not at that level at all (only $70-100k/year). Anyone can offer some insights on this position and the associated package? Just wanted to see if I should interview or save everyone's time. Thank you!
MBB people in London (or other non-US financial hubs) - if you are aligned to the financial services industry, are you still on the road most of the time or are projects more local?
Got to ask, do any of you who travel, are you required to stay on site on a friday if the client is off on monday due to a holiday?
Companies need to not dilute diversity with this whole diversity of thought jibberish - there are real issues re: bias, race, gender and respect in the workplace. Education around how to build better
Preparing for McKinsey interviews and having a hard time finding quality interviewer led cases to prep with (besides those on the McK website). Anyone have any recommendations, preferably free?

Do the Priority Pass lounges at IAD take the app for entry? Left my physical card at home.
I lost my passport and wanted to understand the next steps for passport application and impact to the approved H1 extension. 1. Will the passport number change? 2. Do I need to obtain any proof of my expired H1 visas (stamped visa)? 3. I am currently on an H1 extension, do I need to refile the extension with the new passport (if number changes)? 4. Anything else? Appreciate any help on this.
What are the major value props of becoming a MBB partner given the strength of exit oppts?
Just got promoted. At the same time, got an industry offer from my target sector, director of the internal strategy team. Both TC and base of the offer is 10% lower than my current numbers, and the gap will become 50k-60k reduction in base alone after my promotion. Am i crazy to still consider this offer?
How much do you donate to charity each year? How do you calculate it? I want to give more but unsure how to set a practical goal/budget.

Anyone know what Equifax’s 401k and benefits look like? Curious to see if it’s competitive. Also know if they’re salary is competitive. Looking at a VP fraud operations and monitoring position.
On my 3rd job in 2 years (consultant for a year, then left for a new company that was impacted by COVID). My new role is not very interesting and can be very pigeon holed at times. The pay and benefits are top notch, which are keeping me here. Is it too soon to jump again for something I’m more interested in or is it better to wait?
