If an individual resides in CT and works in NY can we serve them in NY?

Joining a big(ish)law litigation/investigations practice group in a few weeks. Only biglaw friends I have do transactional so I see what their schedules are like but not sure how lit compares.

Anybody have any insight into how lit is different? Is it more predictable/regular? Less? What do you think the major differences (beyond substance obviously) are between the two?

My first job out of law school was incredibly toxic and I'm gradually learning that all the skills I learned there are actually the worst way to do things. How do I recover from that in a job interview perspective?

What’s the best way to turn down a 2nd interview? During the 1st interview, I learned that the compensation for the role is not within the range that I am looking for and requires 400 more billable hours a year than what I bill now. I’d basically be laterally for my current salary just to bill 400 more hours. I also wasn’t aware that the local office was strictly ID. Firm website advertises lots of practice areas. Any advice? People always compliment how soft my skin is, I honestly think it’s because I don’t shower daily so I never have to use lotion and my skin has a natural oil balance.
