Advice on taking and passing the SPHR exam?

I’m working on revamping the US holidays within a private tech company. Any nuances the group thinks should be considered?
Current: MLK day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, labor day, veterans day, thanksgiving, Christmas. Optional: Presidents’ Day, Juneteenth, and US indigenous peoples day.

Advice on taking the SHRM-SCP exam? I’m taking the exam tomorrow and not feeling as prepared as I should. Who has taken the SCP exam? How difficult did you find it?

How would I go about finding a recruiter for a career switch? I have a finance background and am currently a mid level in big law. Looking for a hybrid position, but I only have experience with recruiters who recruit for other big law positions. Any ideas for how to start looking?

2 years work experience in consulting and talent team; masters and undergraduate degree in HR, and SHRM certification. What kind of roles would I be qualified for in NYC and what would be a good salary range?

Does anyone have the 2020 SHRM books for sale or to borrow? My job won’t contribute towards my certification. I’ve already paid for my test. I have the books from 2015 but I’d like to study from the 2020. I tried finding them online to purchase but sellers of affordable books aren’t responding.

Does anyone teach a law school class in the evening once a week or so in addition to full-time job? If so, can you speak to your experiences and if you find juggling the two to be stressful? Also salary for teaching.

I’m at a mid size transactional firm. I’m a total night owl and my partners have OK’d me starting the workday at around 11am because I regularly work until midnight or later. I get so much more done after dark! I still get some side eye from other associates, but 🤷🏽‍♀️

I have a new client who, I think, got bad legal advice from someone else she consulted with. From the information I have, there is no way she gets to the numbers I do. I work in a pretty small legal community. How do I address this delicately? My client is hung up on “but that’s not that X said” even though I’ve explained it multiple times and way. How do you tell if your managing partner is invested in your success? I feel like my managing partner couldn’t care less about my development, career, or success. They hardly ever speak to me and are not really doing anything to show me the ropes in a new practice area I undertook for this job. Starting a new job in Pyrmont in January. Where should I live? I'm a single female in my early 30s, looking for 1BR ~$500/w. Ideally somewhere near the water/beaches.

How do I keep my team engaged when I am also struggling to stay motivated?

Our department has had a lot of turnover within the last few months, all of which were from different reasons (school, family issues, opportunities close to home, etc.). It has been a challenge to divide the workload, while still trying to remain flexible and provide a work-life balance.
