My wife wants to found a SaaS startup. She would work on product, and would need a technical co-founder to build it. I would support on the market and commercial side on a PT basis. Should I take a (small) equity position to give us a combined majority stake so that we can keep the dream alive if the third founder pulls out? Or would this be discouraging to the third founder and/or potential investors? I’m thinking 45:10:45… could I go higher?
I hope you're doing well!
I wanted to get advice on something. I recently got an offer to join The Smart Cube as an Analyst in their Procurement Strategy Team and wanted to understand if this would be a good role to gain skills to later get into MBB firms as a front-end consultant.
It would be helpful to get your insights on this, thank you!

I am being offered a Senior AE role, but the Head of B2B is also hiring a Head of Sales, North America.
I met with the person who will be leading NA sales, and do not think hes the right person for the job. Not someone I think I can learn much from.
Would you share this with the Head of B2B? Or is it not my place?

I am looking to transition into a product management role with less than 3 years of work experience, none that relates to PM (Operations at Amazon, current:sales). How do I better my chances for PM?
Received a job offer ($118K), $17k less than the starting point of the range ($135k - $165K) for this position that the recruiter initially communicated to me. Tried to negotiate and they came back not budging on base but an increased bonus amount (extra 5%). I am interested in the position but can’t help but feel unhappy with their offer. How would you handle? Can I try negotiating again or is a 2nd time too much back and forth?

I hate 95 % of recruiters. Most are vile. They demand your responsiveness while being ignorant unresponsive unprofessional jerks.

What motivated you to pursue a career change from front line sales to managing a team of sales professionals?
I ask, because as I look to the future I am wondering if just staying on the front lines will be more lucrative then entering management.
What makes a great customer success / renewal manager in Enterprise? And what would be the biggest challenges faced from moving from SMB into Enterprise for these roles?
Im a BDR at a large medtech vendor that expanded into SaaS complimenting our existing smart devices at hospitals. Sales cycles are long in this industry (min 12mo), but seems our value-add platform is so new to market that it’s taking longer (16-24+mo). I’ve been here for over 6mo and support 3 AE’s with zero pipeline and wins, despite meeting my own metrics to get meetings. Is this complex environment usual for enterprise software sales? Not sure if I’m hurting my new sales career by staying.

The company I work at Synthesia is hiring SDRs! We’re a really cool start up and have grown from 35 to 120 employee just since I’ve been here for a year. Our tech is really cool and disruptive to traditional video- synthesia.io . If you’re interested please reach out to me and I’ll connect on LinkedIn to talk about my experience as an SDR at Synthesia. I’m currently transitioning into an AE so there is really a lot of room to grow here. Let me know!

I just applied to Salesforce for a BDR role. I don't have a Bachelor's but I have more than two years of BDR experience at Paychex as well as an Associates Degree in Business Admin. Anyone else apply or those of you that work there, what are your tips for breaking in?

Work 6 days /week ???
Finishing 90 days in new role and I am doing really, really well. The only thing is that I get the vibe that people in management and my peers feel that I’m arrogant. I take feedback well or so I think. I ask questions when I don’t know things and I admit and own things when I’m wrong. The only thing is that I tend to like to work on my own and it’s because I have an introverted personality, I think. Am I fucking up? Is it envy? Or am I arrogant?
Am I the only one that finds it cheesy when a sales coach or anyone else for that matter quotes themselves?
Looking for some advise on making a career move. I've been in software and telecom sales most of my career, starting at a telco (14 yrs) and then a small independent consulting company (4 yrs). Focus as been in cybersecurity and workplace/IT Modernization (Collaboration Platforms, SD-WAN, etc).

I’m ready to transition out of my media/advertising sales career and into SaaS/IT/tech. I’ve been extremely successful in my media sales career and have made President’s Club multiple times, I’ve always exceeded budgets and quotas. There’s a really low ceiling for how much success can be had. I’d also like to be fully remote so that my husband and I can move from the Midwest to Upstate NY.
Any certs I should be looking into to support breaking into tech sales? What advice can you share?
