Recruiting and coaching - how are they interconnected? The interview pattern #successcoach # mindset #recruiting.
What are the best ways to prep for a market size (TAM) case? Have a PE ops interview and it’s part of the process
Mck🐠, my wife just got an interview of Data Scientist - Agriculture Commodity Research Engine (ACRE). Any insights would be much appreciated!
Hii fishes, How many days it will take in EY for final HR interview after submitting pre interview form and related documents.
AITA: Started a new job last Dec, the SM who interviewed me latched onto me from Day 1. She would call me multiple times throughout the day to gossip about other people and complain about the firm (🚩 🚩 🚩). At first, I thought it was nice to have an acquaintance at a new company but it became too much when she started subtly putting me down with passive-aggressive comments and coming to me to help with her work, but taking the credit (cont)
I got through multiple rounds of interviews for a job and didn’t get moved forward. It’s a Sr job and I’m Sr level. I asked for feedback on the interview process and was told there wasn’t anything specific, I made it far and did well. It made me wonder if asking for interview feedback after Sr level interviews is really appropriate? Should I be far enough in my career that I don’t need that specific feedback?
Any books/self help materials for someone who is constantly worrying (and waste a lot of unnecessary time)? E.g. No matter if i pass or fail an interview, there is always something to worry about. The worrying/anxiety multiplies when I proceeded further in the interview stages. Now that I signed the offer and is pending background checks, my anxiety is off the roof as it itches closer to my starting date.
If you got an "expect to hear back by" date during an interview round, how long past that date do you usually send a follow-up, and when do you cut your losses and move on?
Anyone have any insight as to what the interviewing process for the Siegfried Group is like? What type of questions do they ask?
Is it a red flag if a company wants to move very quickly? My first interview / 'phone screen' was with the VP of Finance (which seems strange tbh) and he said they want to have an offer out next week. I feel like this is a bit rushed.
What does one typically talk about during an interview with the COO? I made it past 5 rounds plus a modeling exam so far.
Hey everyone! Anybody working in AWS or have recently applied? I have an interview coming up for a Senior Client Lead Recruiter position. I’d like to get any insights on the position, interview process and the Total Compensation please? The levels online don’t seem to match, maybe that is not accurate for Canada? The recruiter mentioned somewhere around 80k TC already and it seems kind of low?
Does anyone have experience working at a small company? I was furloughed and I’m looking for other opportunities, and I’ve had a few interviews/chats with the Co-founder of this real estate company...
Hey all, I have an interview for an Enterprise Sales Director role at a fintech company next week and wondering if there is a) a good resource for learning about fintech quickly b) any questions you’d ask about the role in particular? Thanks in advance for any help!
I’m interviewing for a Data Science Associate role at a mid size fin tech right now. Afraid to make the jump as I’m only a few months into first strategy job. Feel like I’ll be around more high achievers in consulting, but if in the end everyone (an exaggeration) is trying to funnel into product management, should I jump ahead of the curve?
How fast is too fast to get an offer? I had two easy interviews (founders only) and got an offer $20k higher than asking in under 72 hours from first call. It's a very small 9yo company, very niche product, and I’m finding no behind-the-scenes information (doesn't even show up in Glassdoor.) Two other prospects are going very well, but still have 3+ rounds to go for each. Did I just hit the jackpot, or is this too good to be true? Would you take the offer, try vetting them further, or run?
I just made the switch to my new firm about 3 months ago and the partner and I have not gotten along. I’m a second year in lit, and most of his associates are more senior so he expects us to run point but during the interview I told him I still need a little mentoring. Now, every misstep I make he kills me for it. Should I make a move now or wait it out hoping it gets better?
Help me out, everyone seems to be having much milder symptoms with Omicron. Is the hospital capacity issue due to people panicking and going to the hospital despite having mild symptoms or because staff are out with illness? I don’t understand how the medical system is on the brink of collapse right now. Maybe I have a skewed view of Omicron based on anecdotal experience?
I’m currently entering into my second year as a Risk Advisory Consultant. I would love to get some advice on how to approach transitioning to one of MBB by the end of this year! Happy to chat or talk if you prefer!
Raise your hand if you're still at work! 🙋🏻

Transitioned into consulting post-MBA (1.5 years ago) and generally enjoyed the experience. Since I joined my comp has gone up ~13% and I’ve liked my project teams but in my most recent review talk my partner told me he thought I was ready to be promoted and had advocated for me but there was an HR rule against it and I was on-track to be promoted in 6 months. Since then I’ve learned that one of my classmates (started 2-3 months before me due to COVID) was promoted last cycle.
Has anyone worked in HR for a manufacturing company? What’s the industry like? I come from a tech environment and am being considered for an HRBP role for a manufacturing company. Not sure if it’s the right move. Not sure what to expect. Thank you.
A client has a very-difficult-to-pronounce name which is a tongue twister for me. Don’t intend to butcher the name, but just can’t say it right. Personally, if someone from another culture said my name a bit differently, I just wouldn’t mind. This client is touchy about it. How do you handle this?
Hi Fishies, I am looking for a job change and need referrals. I have ~5 yrs of experience in consulting most of it in data analytics, data strategy, business strategy, business operations. Also MBA from premier B school. Thanks in advance! JPMorgan Chase
For those who have recently switched from consulting to industry, what kind of joining bonus are you seeing? It will help if you can state your old position to new position and the joining bonus.
PTO is not the solution to feeling burned out, especially if that feeling intensifies 10x when you return.
Any doctors here? Hoping to interpret whether this LabCorp test means I had COVID (suspected late December) or just am reflecting recent mRNA booster (late November)
Damn y’all weren’t kidding. 50% bump from Big 4 to FAANG for Ops manager role, 6 YOE, 135k to 220k TC. Thank you all for the inspiration!
You guys getting your legal assistant anything for Valentine’s Day? I was thinking something small. She’s single and I know most women (myself too) appreciate a little something on this Hallmark holiday.
If I am traveling to India to get my H1B visa stamped, and in transit if I have my layover in Dubai. Can I go out of Dubai airport during a long layover? Will it Impact my H1B stamping& Us re-entry?
I think I made a faux pas during a discussion with a recruiter when asked what my salary expectations were. I KNOW not to give my number first but I was so caught off guard by the question since it was our initial discussion that I just blurted out a range. I’m afraid that I’ve now locked myself into a range with little room to negotiate if extended an offer. Any advice for how to proceed?
I’ve been at my current gig for 10+ years and feel that I need to make a move to continue to grow in tech. So in considering current company benefits of 10% 403b, emeritus health acct, BCBS ppo, work/life balance AND the need for a raise, how would you calculate TC to make a move worth it?
Hi 🙋🏼♀️ Accenture moms. Re healthcare benefits: did you select HDHP or PPO plan and why? I’ve been on the HDHP plan for the last few years, which has worked well as I almost never see a doctor, but we’re planning to get pregnant next year and I’m reevaluating my options. How many prenatal apts should I expect? Is PPO better for this? Anything you wish you had known about being pregnant with ACN health benefits?
