Which one to choose between Optum and Tiger Analytics for Data Scientist position? Where can I expect better data science domain expertise (In my previous companies I found very less understanding of Data Science practices as team)? Heared good things about both of these. Also hearing Tiger is expanding rapidly and getting some crap projects as well in the name of data science. Could someone put light on these things?

Hi Fishies,
Looking for any reviews/suggestions regarding Pubmatic. Most important is the tech stack and learning aspects.
Big data technologies(Scala-Spark etc) and Java.
Also in discussion with Impetus and Autodesk (via third party i.e. Applicantz).
CTC is not a concern right now as what they are offering is enough for me right now.
Any suggestions would be helpful

It's not terribly low but certainly not stellar. What kind of location? Any other comp levers such as stock?
Isn't that a pay cut?
Ah, I read the OP as "260 inclusive of base and bonus" rather than "260 base and an undefined bonus amount"
260 base seems good. It depends on what kind of bonus is on the table and other comp elements. Also depends on industry and cost of living area.
Seems high for an 1st year EM exit. I have mainly come across 200k base + bonus and RSUs. TC around 300K

That’s great for senior manager role. I think you can shoot for Director though.
As a reference, I left BCG as a C2 and got $250k ($190k base + $60k bonus) as a director in Chicago. Also got a $65k signing bonus.
You definitely have room to go up if you can land a Director role.
Thanks all for comments. Sorry meant that it is $260k TC, low 200s base. No other stocks, etc. Advanced industries
That’s pretty bad. I left Deloitte 3 years ago the minute I made manager and got $235k TC. Which would be $260k today was inflation. You should be able to do better than Deloitte.
8 before McK but not directly relevant. 3+ at McK
What’s your background, yoe?
It seems good for that kind of role, but I also suspect you could do better than that role. Highly dependent on industry etc though
Seems high for a lead role actually

Based on the fact that OP said he felt it was low, i assume he meant to say 260k is base PLuS bonus. Not just bonus, right?
Yeah I’m thinking they meant $260 total cash comp.
Most (70%+) of our PLs who leave match or increase comp so I would think this is a low offer
What’s the location and bonus #?
What company or industry? Stocks?
How many yoe?
It’s on the low end of the range for EM/PL but not out of bounds from what I’ve seen. Maybe you can get a signing bonus to sweeten it a bit.
You should be able to get director level role after one year as manager at McKinsey. I wouldn’t take a level lower.
OP- What company? I recently left for the exact same role and similar comp - Dir level in tech.
Seems pretty good... people talking about getting director title are overlooking what company it is. What kind of company is it?
Are first year EMs really getting that much higher than this? Weird
