Received an offer as Engagement Director from Salesforce (CSG, pre sales, L9). Great benefits package, 40% increase in total comp and better WLB.
I do love the people in my practice and current client, but career trajectory has stalled after taking parental leave earlier this year and (yet another) change in leadership.
Realistically, making to Director is 2-3 years away and will require sacrificing time with my family that I am not prepared to give up.
Should I stay or should I go?

What I wanna know is How did you get principal title as a SM?!
Also lol I know some principal at my firm that make $120k a year. High title low pay no thank you.
You good bro?
Leverage your industry and finance experience combined with your sales capabilities to land a leadership role at a large firm that pays well. Spin the story to say you have all the money you need and wanted to try something new because you've made it and are looking for your next challenge. Don't talk about how much you make currently. Just ace the interview and set your price.
Finding the right leader is hard to do. When you are the right fit, price is negotiable and the least of concerns.
I had the same burnout and left industry to start a company. I took a $300k pay cut! Then the startup didn’t work and I joined consulting to get back into industry. Today I received my official offer letter and will join industry again. I tell you that because I see your story as easier, you had a great opportunity to bring your knowledge to multiple clients so you left industry. You are not comfortable/tired of travel and ready to bring your now national expertise to one company. I was ultimately successful at landing the job by writing people from my past and networking. Btw, I’m not a born networker so the struggle was real. You’ve grown and learned from this experience. You will get there. Good luck!
100k cut wow. should have given me that
Went from 300k to 200k so not talking millions for context. Thanks in advance for your opinion
