My spouse is retired military so he is in great shape. As a teacher I am feeling too busy to even try. My to do list keeps getting longer. But I am walking most days after school with another teacher and it helps my mood. Does little for my menopause body but does help my attitude 😊
Yes, mine exercises every day and looks great and I haven’t made time to exercise since last summer 🙈 Now that the weather is getting nicer again, I’m making more conscious choices about eating better, less snacking or snacking late at night, and I’m starting with walking just to get moving. I plan to add in some more exercises but need to make time in my schedule. I also have so many things on my to do list that I get mentally tired. But I know that if I can get over the initial drag and work out a few times, it usually motivates me to keep going- the cycle works positively as well as negatively 😌
I bet your husband loves you just the way you are. You could be doing everything perfect and still not lose weight. I say that to myself as well as you. My husband and I are about the same weight and I gained about 20 pounds in the last couple of years. I used to snack a lot at night because I would reward myself for getting through a stressful day but I’ve stopped doing it (for a couple of months, fingers crossed). I think we should try to love ourselves the way we are and be happy that we have a partner who loves us and doesn’t care if we’re a few pounds overweight. I hope this doesn’t come across as toxic positivity. I truly just want all of us women to give ourselves a break. Sending compassion your way!
