Sounds about right. Had a similar situation when my daughter was around that age. It only lasted a few weeks. We found that getting her outside even for 10-15 mins helped.
Yep. The "I'm my own human" program just booted up. Focus on helping them understand how to deal with strong emotions that they cannot express in words. Teach them how to take deep breaths to calm down, etc. Put yourself in their shoes, you are feeling real anger or disappointment or whatever for the first time and you can't tell anyone, your only tool is a tantrum. Be patient, it'll pass.
Whatever you do, don’t get mad. Do your very best to stay totally calm, and don’t react strongly. Help them breathe and reset a bit. It’s hard, and they will push you as far as they can, but remember that they have no other tools, and the feelings are totally overwhelming to them. They’re not doing anything on purpose.
I would be really disciplined on 1 nap per day - quiet time, etc. not more.
Include some daily time to play or walk outside with them(30 min Dedicated time). Sometimes they just feel ignored and want attention. As they get used to the routine, the tantrums will go down.
Yeah, seems about normal. Then you’ll transition into the threenager which seems to last until 6 or so. Gotta love attitude from your spawn.
Yep this is also the age they will start making you feel bad for work travel!
