650k. Anyone telling you to take 400k less and live in Dallas doesn’t know anything about NYC or they’re crazy. With 650k you can afford a very very nice home in Brooklyn or queens and an even nicer home in Staten Island. Or you can just move out to Westchester. That’s a quick ride on the train to grand central. Bottom line. You’ll live like kings in nyc with 650k.
This
I make $600k in ny and live in long island which has high property taxes but great public school. My wife stays at home and we have 3 kids. $600k goes a looong way.

Always take the job with more money.
The difference between the amounts is significant. As working norms continue to change, you may have an option to keep the same job/money and move out of NYC - $600K will go much farther in Dallas than $250K, when you make that happen.
And for those making Dallas out to be a dump - they don’t know - Dallas has the arts, museums and a multitude of entertainment and F&B options. It’s a great city to live in - including the suburbs where the good schools are.
Not comparing - but the options are there.
NYC. Dallas ain’t nearly as affordable as it used to be.
Where do you buy the crack?
Lol - I’ve lived in both cities and 600k in nyc easily wins.
Col delta wouldn’t even come close - unless you’re paying 10k in rent and having 200$ dinners every night - you’d still be ahead with 600k in nyc.
New York - no question
Is this a serious question? NYC is well ahead.
After the communistic NY taxes, your take home will probably be about the same
Imagine thinking NY state taxes are 50%
What job are you moving into?
LOL. Of course it does.
Do you have to stay in NYC? I’d say take the NYC job then move after a year!

Since when do senior managers make 600k?
Since when do senior managers get offered 600k? What kind of senior manager?
Senior manager of what?
Give both offers up and join D at 100k. That way you can’t live in both cities and avoid this confusion. Happy to refer, DM
Uhhhhhhh ya
Stop it lol! With 600k salary you can rent an apt in nyc and have a house in CT and live a very nice life. You can Ubercopter to the Hamptons on summer weekends, and fly back weekly to Dallas if you really miss it and stay at the nicest hotels.
I would stick with NYC. At retirement, you'll have A LOT more money, and can move wherever you want. This turns your extra savings into a huge hoard of wealth.
