4.5% considered a good raise on non promo yr? Really conflicted. Have an offer for 65k more but i really like my director. The new offer would be in an area where I’m more of an expert.

Colleague has put in his resignation. They are offering him whatever he wants to stay including 4days a week work from home. He’s not bluffing and plans to leave. However, at this same time I was asked to begin working as a supervisor for the engineering team and I would get a promotion at the beginning of the year. I have been supervising and managing our team of 6 for months with no extra pay or bonuses. I was told yesterday that raises will be light this year. Yet today they spare nothing.

Does anyone think it’s out of the question to ask for a 20% pay increase without a promotion? My duties on our team are closer to Director-level and no other Senior PM is managing half of what I am, so I feel like I should be compensated fairly.

Am I being paid competitively? I have been the Onboarding Sup for my HR dept for over a year now and I’m being paid the state min for salary, which for CA is 62,400. I have not gotten a merit raise since the last 2 January’s, the state raises the threshold for salary folks. My company says that was my raise. Is this right? The sheer volume of work is exhausting and I haven’t taken a true vacation as we are a small company so if something urgent comes to my email I feel like I must respond. I was given an additional title and more responsibilities last year as well but only a 3% raise for it.
