4 years in sell side equity research. What should I do next?

I’m currently a senior 3 auditor and increasingly detest my job every single day. I’ve been thinking about consulting but don’t know exactly what they do and the detailed nature of the work. What are my options outside of audit, staying within the firm? Any insight appreciated.

After a few years in ops consulting I think I’ve realised I want to try my hand at being a dev or working in software delivery. Any way I can swing this staying with Deloitte or will I need to fork out for a boot camp and start from the bottom? Any helpers appreciated!

Thoughts on exiting to a second tier accounting firm to advance level (D—>MD) and more pay? P’s get paid less but also sounds like less pressure/stress and more opps to be a leader sooner

Hi guys I am posting this again I have offer of almost same package from Accenture and IBM . Accenture offering is very slight more but that's not my key consideration. Which company is better in terms of job security, work life balance. That's the top most factor I am considering. Learning and project and latest niche technology is the other important factor after first 2 factors .

I have joined techM on previous year july , now I got an opportunity in wipro and Capgemini.
I didn't put the resignation yet ,I planned to do that today but now I got a client appreciation mail , I am really confused after this appreciation from client , whether it is really good to get out of techM now or not ?
I got better package than techM in other companies.

I also have a doubt , where and when will we receive our ratings in mail or in any of the techM sites ??

Currently 1 YOE tech consulting at Deloitte looking to make a hop to more strategy type roles and came across the strategy analyst development program- 1. is this only for fresh undergrads from specific schools or would I be able to apply? 2. What’s the compensation at this level? (worried I might have to take a pay cut). Also would appreciate any remarks regarding the program in general. Thanks!

I am fairly green in academia (< 1 year) and I want to shift to an area of research which I always wanted to do but never could as a Ph.D. student (because of conflict of interest).
The issue I am facing is that due to lack of my documented research experience in this field (read, lack of papers) I am finding it very hard to land any grant and reviewers keep saying "The PI hasn't demonstrated any experience in said research" blah blah.
Any advice on how to overcome this?

My experience is split between FP&A and accounting and while I have progressed, I am becoming depressed b/c I feel like I’m in the wrong field. I am generally a motivated, high performing person, but I al starting to slip up and care less, b/c my work is not satisfying to me. Jump ship or stick it out? I’m a 31 y/o SFA with a Fortune 100 and am learning absolutely nothing. I have 9 years FP&A experience. All we get is busywork and no real opportunity to grow or take a more challenging role since they’re dying for SFAs. Do I stick it out for an eventual Manager role so I can be more marketable to a future employer, or try to pivot out of Finance to a new type of role and company now? Interested in more operations related work.
