Anyone from Boston Consulting Group Boston Consulting Group (BCG) working in non-consulting - Technology/Engineering/Global Services?
How's the work life balance? Glassdoor reviews are full of "long working hours" and hence wanted to know if it's the same with non-consulting folks as well? How far is it true across the organisation?
Please help me shed some light to decide.
Thanks.

Definitely depends where you go. If you want similar TC (ie FAANG) the WLB may be marginally but not significantly better. Can you just scale back to part time and try that before quitting? That’s what I’m considering—down to like 67% FTE and see if my life improves.
In for this. Third year IP lit. From what I see, it’s tough to go in house with IP lit before fifth year. Product counsel is a potential out.
I'm considering scaling back to 70% next year, but I already have 3 trials, one of which is ITC, scheduled for next year so I don't know that actually dropping hours will be feasible or make much of a difference.
That trial schedule is pretty rough. But I think if you are fed up and close to quitting anyway, you can assert your boundaries and maybe drop one of those cases.
In IP lit I would expect you’d have some options in boutique firms that would still pay pretty well but with a better balance. Have you looked into that at all?
