6 years of consulting experience in ERP finance implementations at large organizations including leading functional/business and technical teams to write complex integrations. How realistic is a pivot into a consulting RPA role? Specifically at UIPath in a Director role if it makes a difference.

Very reasonable. They are all just mini implementations. You have the project planning, the general IT knowledge, general business knowledge. Only thing you’d need to freshen up on is operating model and finding opportunities and the areas where RPA shines. If you’re with a big firm currently reach out and talk to your RPA group they will send you decks and you can just learn from it and you’ll be up to speed quickly.

I saw a person made a similar move. He was brought in to RPA team at a Big4 as a manager with 10+ experience in SAP work then made SM a few years afterward. So in consulting Director wouldn't sound right role that would be easily given by the firm, but maybe possible in corporate.

I just found out that the person I was with last year is with someone new. We were separated because of distance/covid. It just makes me sad because I feel that covid took away the opportunity for us to be together and further develop the connection that we had. It was unique and hard to find. So much has changed. I’ll get over it and if we aren’t going to be together then I am sure it’s for the best. Just feeling this heaviness today.
