My brother made me get up at 7am to go to the gym so I ran two miles there, then I went to work. My company’s hosting a conference, so my coworkers and I walked from the office to the convention site. Then I met up with a friend for dinner
I did so much today I’m going to burn out by the end of the week 😆

I was listening to a podcast for one of the courses I’m taking and thought I’d share some cool stuff about building habits:

- Willpower is not as effective in making a long term change compared to building habits

- Reduce friction (eg much more likely to go to gym if it’s 5 mins away vs 10)

- Take an existing habit and add your new habit onto it

- Use chaos and stressful times to rethink practical decisions

- To break bad habits, add friction (eg phone & charger away at night)

Hi y’all, wanted to ask for recommendations on really good workout leggings that aren’t $100 (Lululemon). I currently buy them from Amazon (Heathyoga) but the quality of the leggings I purchased recently wasn’t as good as the ones I got last year.

Grateful for any suggestions you’d like to share!

Which tracker(s) do y’all use for your health and fitness?

I’ve used an Apple Watch since 2015 and love it, but also just picked up an Oura ring for better sleep tracking. Workout tracking and general health metrics on the Apple Watch have been great.

Proud of myself for averaging over 10k steps/day for the past two weeks after a pretty sedentary June and July (averaging 5k steps/day). I’m aiming to average 12k steps/day this week.

Do you guys reward yourself when you see progress? And no, I'm not talking about food 😭

I went from 167 at my highest down to 142ish and got an LV purse to reward myself 🥳 went to the mail room after the gym today and I was stoked haha. Next goal is 130!
