My final round with Deloitte for UK Tech Consulting Manager position soon. Strangely it’s not a PMD round as it usually is for other Big4/tech consulting firms.
1. Can anyone tell me if they’ve been through the whole process without speaking to PMD? (First round Sr Manager, second Case Interview by a manager and third again by a manager) 2. What is a typical salary to expect? I was asked in screening but kept it vague (e.g can discuss later bla bla). I was hoping 75-80 (ridiculous?)

Yes I work for a local government doing L&E, and we don’t work with recruiters. Frankly, we don’t even have the money to run a feature on LinkedIn. Check state and local government websites for openings and just apply. We are generally all back in the office currently, but in the past, we’ve been flexible with people’s schedules of child care, etc. was an issue. My job has great WLB though.
Yeah, governments aren’t going to hire recruiters, haha. What kind of government are you interested in—federal/ state/ local?
Not sure what state you’re in but I saw CA DiR post a few positions recently. Just apply directly.
I made the transition from midlevel L&E associate to state government recently. As others have said, keep an eye on government job websites - recruiters aren't going to be much help for you here. WFH may vary depending on where you work. We're still remote but anticipating a lot of hybrid schedules with at least one day remote per week. WLB is infinitely better, even though work is just as fast-paced and interesting (albeit perhaps for different reasons).
