A clinical research degree holder here who wants to get a job in a CRO. I have tried many times,not very successful. What I lack in experience I have acquired with education. I currently work as a data manager and I am looking to find a job in CRO as clinical data manager. Any advice for me?

Friend introduced me to a poc at a role I’d potentially be interested in, but background check would take 6-12 months. Just got promotion at current firm and feeling content to stay. I’d be interested in the other company in the near future, ie 1-2 years.

If I didn’t directly know the person, I’d interview to see how I do, but I don’t want to waste this person’s time for the time being. What would you do?

I’m looking to transition from an academic medical center to pharma or a biotech. I have about 8 years of clinical research experience overall — 7 years combined as a CRC (CRC I, CRC II, and senior CRC) and 1 year as a PM. I’m also recently ACRP-CP certified.
