The head boss failed you by not sending her home right away. From now on make sure to have masks, gloves and Clorox wipes in your desk.
You're right to be annoyed. However, you should also be annoyed at yourself for not protecting yourself better. Someone should have just sent her home, but while she was in the office and moving around it would have been wise to remember all the social distancing we learned five years ago. That was honestly something from the pandemic that should have become permanent. It's also always good to keep some alcohol wipes around just so you can disinfect surfaces if a sick person insists on touching them.
I mean, I can definitely understand where you're coming from. But I think some of your anger is misdirected. A lot of people feel incredible stress and anxiety around missing work and that can often be a work cultural issue, not a personal one.
I have a coworker like this. He is 60 years old. He is sick often (grandkids). He coughs and sneezes at his desk -- never covering his mouth. It is disgusting. Even little kids know (& do) better!!! 🤮
I wash my hands A LOT. And keep my distance. He was supposed to retire this year... now it's December 202-6... 🙄
Give me strength...
