I've never met a recruiter for coffee. This screams red flags all around.

Thanks for your insight! I agree—looking back, the whole situation definitely had red flags. The recruiter was very young, looked like she had just graduated from college, so maybe she was still figuring things out herself. I later landed a temp job that turned out to be very toxic, so when I reflect on that coffee meeting, I can actually understand the frustration she was feeling. Really appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts!
This is weird but I’ve been invited out to lunch once with a hr manager to discuss an internal job interview, it was more about the role and the company but not venting, definitely unprofessional but maybe she needed to get it off her chest lol.

Thanks so much for your reply. I agree—it definitely felt unprofessional, but I get that sometimes people just need to get things off their chest. Funny enough, I later landed a temp job myself, and it turned out to be a pretty toxic environment too, so I can totally relate to what she was feeling. Appreciate you sharing your thoughts!
