Hi All,
I joined Tech Mahindra for 5 days only and didn't find suitable timing for my project and emailed resignation mail to manager and HR. After that HR asked me to resign over portal but at the same time blocked my portal. After requesting many times they didn't unblock my portal and pretended like they want to unblock but there is some issue going on and marked my profile absconded. I have cleared fnf but they are not providing reliving letter but added pf amount also. What to do?

Follow the flow of revenue, you create revenue, you get “personal revenue”. Everyone else is just a cost center.
I think you’re thinking an Account Executive role at Amazon/AWS?
But yes, sales is definitely a way of maximizing total comp much earlier. Mainly tech sales, but I’m sure there are other categories that can yield similar results like whole selling equity products, etc.
I moved to sales. AE’s can make 7 figures plus some equity. But many of these people I’ve worked with have made 500K+ for years. Join a startup that hits it large and you can kill it. Just need to understand the respective space and product market fit. Then have to be a straight hustler. Luck plays into the game, but overall comp kills consulting.
Go for it

In a good year, they’re right. In a bad year you’ll lose your job and get very little. TLDR; the best salespeople make more than SWE/PM, but median salesperson probably makes less.
High risk high reward, all there is to it. If you’re confident in your sales abilities, go for it
IB top end is sales, too
What do you think partner level folks in consulting are? They're highly compensated sales people who have built a network of a key relationships that they pitch.
Sales generally used to be a direct route to higher total comp, but over the course of the past decade most companies have begun implementing ridiculous quotas to reduce sales comp and control exposure. For example, let's say you are given a quota for half a mil in year one. You bust your bum and crush it six months in and at year end you outperform your quota by another half a mil, total 1m. You receive all the kickers and increased percentages of your sales as a result. It's a good year for you. Then the following year your plan is restructured and your new quota is 1m. So now you have to kill it again just to make the same base comp as you did the previous year. No more kickers until you hit 1m+. It's a numbers game that doesn't reward good work and it locks you into a maximum comp year after year.
Everything is sales oriented. I don’t care what you think you do, it has to be sold.
