A significant amount of the early career people I mentor have been open about how financial stress weighs on them and affects their day to day work. I have shared my own career journey, but realize that my lessons learned might not necessarily apply in today's landscape.

My organization not so much, me 100%. I develop teams that love what they do and part of that is making sure they feel supported in any way feasible. Ensuring they know they are paid at market and are being progressively trained to take their talent to an organization ready for their ask is what makes people happy, my people at least.
Not at all transparent.
I’ve never worked anywhere that was transparent about salary bands. Some places I couldn’t even find out how much my direct reports were making.
My agency says that they are transparent but whenever we ask about salary and pay they kind of shrug us off or talk in circles until we let it go
My company was transparent but didn’t encourage us to discuss the bands with associates because, I think, it was a delicate conversation and handled incorrectly could be a problem.
I was always open to showing and discussing them, believing my associates would better understand the why behind a raise. My thoughts were that being open about limits for raises gave more creditability to the process.
