I'll take the offer if you don't 🤷🏼♂️
Op can you share the name of this company you speak of? Believe I'm more qualified and would like the opportunity to discuss with them. Thanks your friend at EY
@OP i am a manager with KPMG..take the opportunity you got! You can always come back amigo!
Leave. Follow the $. Loyalty at these firms means shit
I just received an offer. 21% increase in base. Bonuses are usually paid out between 10-15%. Can count on 5 hrs of overtime/week. 401k match is 10%. There is a stock purchase program. More perks overall. Should make about 30k more annually. It's a senior finance role and will give me a direction for specialization. Currently a generalist. Thoughts? Thinking about staying for promo. I do understand the promo is not guaranteed.
If you're interviewing you've already made up your mind, just go.
Promo would probably get me close to the base increase but wouldn't cover the bonus or overtime. I was referred by a friend. He told me after he had referred me. I guess the hiring manager had a need and he brought me up during a conversation over lunch. I decided to interview.
10% 401k match is really generous too
Take it, you can always boomerang
Would your promo even get you close to that? Take this now and then by the time you would have been promoted you'll be getting another raise on top of it anyway
How is your match 4%?!
This is a pretty obvious decision. As @PwC1 noted you can always potentially return if you leave graciously.
Dude take the offer I beg you.
I wouldn't trust your partner as far as I could throw him or her. You do you, take the offer.
I will say I'm leaning towards taking it. Wondering if you all think having a promo under my belt from a big4 would be worth sticking around and would pay dividends later on.
@k3 is yours less or more? M1 thanks for the positivity and advice! Thought we all had the same match?
I'm pretty sure mine is 50% up to 5%
So 2.5%
Take it.
Thanks everyone!
