Finally found THE one, after over a year of searching and trying out at least 5 different ones!

I tried cheap ones from Amazon. Expensive, second hand gaming chairs. Tried HM Aeron (second hand) and while I didn't like the bulk and the general design, I was sold on the mesh seating. I wanted to get the ErgoChair 2 from autonomous, but it doesn't have mesh seat.

It’s 400 over 4 years .. so TC would be $300k .. not 600k
Not low. To get close to 200 k base, you need to be SM level at DD
Even then nobody pays 600k for 6 YOE unless you are solid swe or sdm
I don’t like culture in my team.. it’s become too toxic .. my manger is an ass… and working in a dynamic environment like DoorDash will help learn more than at Google. Google is literally a dead place.

But less the learning and mostly the manager… well, it’s all the manager but didn’t want to make it sound like that was the only reason.
DoorDash also has a bad culture, wouldn’t leave Google for them - massive step down

The equity is front loaded, so first year equity is higher. You’d probably get ~230k-250k first year all in & there’s still likely upside in the share price. That said your offer is my current comp as an associate manager (one level lower), you could push for more. DoorDash has been trying to lower starting offers

Also as n FYI .. the 6 years work ex is after my graduate degree .. I have total 9-10 years work ex.. and the 400 equity is over 4 years so .. $100k per year + 200base ~ $300k TC ..

Have a good friend who is a manager at DD and his base is $195k with $220k equity/4. However I have heard that they’re trying to start people at lower numbers
DD honestly seems to lowball. If you get the offer, just throw out a firm number that you tell the recruiter you would instantly sign at
Should the firm number be 10% higher than what your band would be. So I have 3 years experience. Can’t expect more than 90-110k base, the band says 90-145k. Should I start with 110-115k?
