Hi fishes,
I interviewed with Siemens Energy for SAP ABAP position on 21st Jan. The interview went on for about an hour and in the end, the interviewer asked my expected ctc and wanted assurance if I won't negotiate on Siemens offer with some other company as i am currently serving notice period and join Siemens if provided an offer.
Till now , the HR team has not reached out to me for salary discussions and my LWD is 7th Feb. Can i expect a call or i got rejected ?Siemens

That’s why you bring it up during interview process
i let them know already! And they said ok because what else were they going to say, Just now still feeling uneasy about the optics
It is what it is 🤷🏼♀️ just work hard before and after. Over time it’ll be forgotten.
And DONT WORK ON VACATION. It’ll set a precedent, and honestly it’s not helpful to be in/out of contact. I know guilt might make you feel like you have to, but please just enjoy.
If you let them know during the interview process and they still hired you it means they are ok with it. Now’s the perfect time to set boundaries at a new agency.
If it makes you feel any better I recently started a new job and I literally worked for three days, went on vacation for a week, worked for four weeks, and then took a 2-week vacation. I’m not sure why they agreed to that but they did so I’m not going to feel guilty about it (and you shouldn’t either!) 😎
Gotta let them know immediately and try to reduce length if possible
Disagree with the reducing length, it’s preplanned. But agree with letting know asap
I know someone that took few weeks off just a couple of weeks after starting. I think it was longer than 3 weeks actually.. it was a family trip they couldnt cancel.. not gonna lie, it does stand out. You'll have to do your job well when you're back.. You kinda have to prove your self when you move to a new agency anyway.. and yes, you definitely should bring this kind of stuff up during interview, or after you get the offer
