united. better codeshare partners, better status, better upgrades.
Upgrades...period. 😬
Currently fly into Chicago and my flights are like 80/20 Southwest/United. I had a corporate offer to immediately get A-list for Southwest and being seated in the first 5 rows without fail is amazing. But if you're playing the points and miles game for the Long haul United is undoubtedly better.
I’m Chicago based and fly both of these airlines exclusively. I’d probably recommend United, but mainly because you can probably find a status challenge to get you started quicker.
