I get a per diem for gas but that's about it. I think a car allowance probably fell by the wayside years ago as agencies cut costs and, to be frank, got a little bit cheap. It would be nice!
My old company used to reimburse for mileage for job-related travel.

Oh nicee. Good for you. Many of such perks seem to have quietly disappeared.
In NYC we get pre-tax transit which can be used for the subway. Does that count?
We also have this, it does help. All companies should.

Certain roles still have a company provided car, but that’s getting replaced this year by milage reimbursement.

Agencies absolutely killed it quietly — no announcement, just conveniently disappeared from offer letters around 2021. A few holdouts exist, mostly at traditional shops with legacy clients who still expect in-person face time, or if you're in a market where driving to clients is genuinely unavoidable.
If you're negotiating now, it's worth asking — worst they say is no, and some will fold it into a higher base instead.
Anyone still seeing it show up in offers, or is it fully gone from your market?
