I'm looking to find a job like the Forward Deployed Engineer role Palantir Technologies in the UK.
I have become hooked on finding a job that involves solving the kinds of problems they presented during their interviews. Although I got to the final round my performance anxiety got the better of me (I think I wanted the job a bit too much...). I will reapply after working in a similar company.
Is it "deep tech" / "data science" or "smart enterprise" that they're doing? Any advice welcome.

Hi everyone!!! Last year I put together a list of classrooms to exchange valentines with! We mailed 1 valentine to each class and included a picture if we could, and a few things about where we live and things we do!
I currently have 13 classes signed up! The more the merrier!!
We have classes CA, WI, PA, KS, TX, RI, MI, Canada, New Zealand.
I have a form to fill out if you are interested! I will email everyone the list probably at the end of the week if not sooner!

Hired at level 8? They probably brought you in at the higher end of their salary band, meaning you'll get less of a bump than an equal performer at your level who makes less
Use glassdoor.com to get this info - that's always helped me so I don't have to creep on my coworkers
Good luck getting a $30k pay raise when bumped. Hint: it won't happen
@ACN1: yep, it's in line with Glassdoor, but I tend to take those with a grain of salt.; @ACN2: Hired at Level 9 with a baked in two years of experienced, as they don't have Level 8 in Tech Consulting.
Yeah like others seem to be saying... Doesn't sound like you're being shafted now, so in conjunction with that, a huge bump is unlikely.
I was hired at 98k (level 9), got a 10% random raise six months later in July 2014, 4% last December 2014 and then another 5% this past December. Assuming i make manager and it's a 20% bump it would put me a little over 141k. So I'd say it's doable assuming you aren't promoted right away.
Cool, thanks all. Not concerned at all long-term, but came from a smaller, niche firm where expectations and relationships with leadership were much closer/transparent, so figured I'd toss it out as a question.
