Adderrall + Wellbutrin

I started taking both medications together and I’ve noticed massive difference in my ability to focus. Either by themselves weren’t so effective. The only thing is that I think it really affects my sleep. I will talk to my psych before I continue though. What medications work for you?

I was on vyvanse and wellbutrin, but switched to zoloft instead of welbutrin and it has worked so much better... but I was on Adderall with welbutrin years ago, Adderall made me have rage fits, which complete went away when I switched to vyvanse

like

Wow! Rage fits? I didn’t even know that was a thing. I’ve never tried vyvanse myself. I’ve heard good things though.

Never had Adderall. I'm on Vyvanse, and only take it intermittently when I need better focus that day.

I already have "natural" insomnia 🙈 so I avoid anything that will disrupt my already chaotic sleep.

I can relate. I’ve NEVER had good sleep and finally had to ask for something to help a year ago. Trazadone is a lifesaver.

like

I take adderall and find trazadone as needed for sleep really helps. I don’t do it often because I do wake up a bit groggy but it’s key for nights my medication lingers and I can’t fall asleep

like

How long have you been on it? I’m on a combo of Adderall and Guanfacine, and the Guanfacine made me sleepy during the day for a couple weeks, but that effect wore off.

I’ve just started adderrall IR 3 weeks ago. As for the Wellbutrin addition, I had some pills left over from an old prescription and just decided to try it 3 days ago.

It’s awesome.

I just have to confirm with my doctor that it’s ok for me to continue taking both.

I was on both a few years ago stopped for a year and a half started back in April and things have only gone downhill for me since. I just started pristiq yesterday . We shall see.

So I haven’t taken any medication in months. The cost of the dysregulation of my sleep cycle is too much. Instead, I’ve been building habits to work well with how my brain functions. I.e. staying away from long, repetitive tasks, working on projects in time blocks, and keeping some staple routines such as exercise has been doing me well.

I simply can’t afford to not be able to sleep lol 😭

Commenting to follow this thread - I’m currently on a high dosage of Methylphenidate ER & Wellbutrin. My issue is the first 2-4 hours of my day I am heavily reliant on coffee, like if I’m not drinking coffee I just want to snooze or lay down & stare at a wall doing nothing. I have the sleep problems because I usually crash from the coffee around 6pm, then awake at 11pm then it’s hard to fall asleep again. My doctor wants to switch me to Adderall & I’m nervous about it because I heard it’s stronger than methylphenidate & acts slightly different. Your post makes me slightly optimistic, slightly not - just curious what others experience

Assuming no THC trace? My doctor has me test every 1-3 months, & said I got to pick which drugs I want to help & choose what I want to fix, slowing my brain down & sleep or focus & motivation. So I stopped THC/CBD related things to stay on my adhd meds…

Hi! I’m a young professional with less than 2 years experience, started a new job 1.5 months ago. I’m having quite some difficulties on balancing out my response time to tasks. While I act incredibly fast if not immediately with some, I sometimes take 1-2 weeks with couple of hours worthy ones. Sometimes I ignore, procrastinate or simply other more urgent things come up to increase the delay. Also I work with 3 managers in my team which doesn’t help with expectations nor guidance. Any tips pls?

My boss assigns projects with unclear expectations and provides no guidance on how to achieve them.

I've asked for help, and, to avoid a long post, she expects me to figure it out. Perhaps you go through this too, but when I don't have a clear guide on completing big projects, it paralyzes me because I don't know where to start. On top of that, I have anxiety, so "it has to be perfect".

If anyone feels similar, how do you manage these feelings? I’m personally considering switching to an individual contributor role, but can’t help but feel like a disappointment if I do.
