Tata Consultancy What is the maximum salary i can ask in TCS ? I have my Hr round on 9th of August.
Im from mainframe background playing a project lead / Architect role with 12.5 yoe. My ccts is 23 lpa. Im also expecting promotion in another month or too .
Considering all this factor i am thinking to as minimum 34 LPA .
PLEASE pour your suggestions.

Yes bhai...they are offering me Azure Data Engg role, so thinking to take that leap of faith...coz in TCS I will never get it!

Facts --
(1) As per new SOP of wings1, the incentive component will be merged to CTC on your promotion to C2 grade.
(2) With 2 A bands you will get total Max 90k-1L hike on your CCTC, so will end up reaching CTC - 9.5LPA. This is what has been given for ITA.
Advice --
(1) You should go with the offer from Accenture, it seems decent from both CTC and the tech stack perspectives they are offering you.
(2) Yearly increments in accenture fetches around 15% hike whereas in TCS even A band fetches a mere 8% hike that too gets adjusted mostly in variable components.

The manager who is offering you updated salary clause or promotion promise, if he reads your post in fishbowl, he will also suggest you to Leave only

Just check if offer from Accenture is 12 fixed or 12 CTC along with variable. Because you will get only around 1/3 rd of the variable pay.

Working on Excel won't take you anywhere. Ask manager to release you and see how he will take back his retention offer. Don't fall for promotion you will hardly get 15% not sure who told you 20.

I was also in the same situation.. two A bands, DCA qualified,. yoe- 3.8, tcs gave 12.5 to retain me.. but the thing is, if there is nothing to learn in the current project, simply switch... at the end knowledge matters.. I rejected the tcs offer.

Yes bhai...no learning...and I am surrounded by ppl in the late 30s in my team, who don't want things to change...I am the only guy who's bachelor🥹

Don't attend it if you've got an offer already. It's a waste of time to get into TCS unless you're hopeless

No bhai...I was a CSE passout but in the last 3years never wrote any code etc. And slowly I feel I am losing my skills...so somehow I have read some concepts...and told all interviewers 1 yr of relevant exp out of 3yrs...

Nothing bhai, just the BAs would approach me to help them understand the ETL code in Abinitio and Datastage...and I would give them in excel with explanation.

I was also in a similar situation, worked on linux support engineer, nothing new to learn or experiment, same stuff everyday. Got dca cleared, got 5 rating, then on the second year they told me that they are gonna give 5, and i put my resignation a day before my rating. They offered me fixed component , vut in that end its upto the higher management, your manager will say it will take time and betray you. So please leave tcs and be happy
