How is Meta product TPM M2 role?
Hello!
I finished my final round(s) for a TAM position at Google (GCP) last week and was told by my recruiter that my feedback was great and that I made a solid impression on the team and am "firmly in the running". I was supposed to hear back this week (according to the recruiter) but he just told me that it's still in the process and that I'll have to wait for another week or so.
Is this common at Google ? I have heard they are notorious for being really slow with their hiring process.

Take the new role at your current company, and then pivot if you get a better offer. You owe them nothing but a hard day's work, and all companies are capable of terminating your employment when it suits them. It's not personal, it's business, take all emotion out of the equation.
I was referring to taking the new role at your current company, you dont owe them anything and should accept the promotion as a backup plan. There's nothing wrong with being emotionally invested in the potential of finding a new role outside your current company, and following up shows that you are eagerly awaiting an offer.
