After around 10 years of experience in sales and sales ops., i am looking to get certification as Salesforce business analyst. Can anyone let me know how and where can i begin?

Should I take vacation days for 2-3 weeks in my promotion year (3-4 months before promotion)? What would be the impact to my promotion? Is it just utilization or it could slow down my promotion?

Recently got diagnosed with a lifelong disability and it’s really made me contemplate what’s most important to me in terms of my job and how I’m ever going to “make it” in my career with a debilitating condition… or whether I even want to, for that matter. One of the reasons I want to transition from industry to consulting (tier 1) is that I get frustrated when I have to collaborate with mediocre people. My assumption is that Tier 1 consulting firms hire really sharp people and if I can get in, I’ll be collaborating with folks on top of their game (not expecting much from clients). I’m aware there are personal aspects I need to work on like my mindset, patience etc etc, but I just get so frustrated with blatant stupidity.

Is it hard to get into Salesforce? Big 4 consultant with 10 yoe, mostly in ERP/CRM implementation and program/project management, have Salesforce Admin cert but not much hands on experience due to mostly management exp, looking into Director TPM roles - should I apply? Or should I wait until I somehow gain more hands on SF experience?

Has anyone made the transition from non-profit and small firm practice to federal government, big law, in-house? I’m a special education parent attorney at a small firm and I’ve spent my legal career in the education and juvenile areas of the law working for 2 non-profits before ending up at the firm. However, I’m just exhausted, unmotivated, and and looking for a change. At this point (6.5 yrs of practice), is that type of transition even possible or am I stuck due to the practice area?
