After interviews with two separate companies I’ve received a polite ‘we’re moving forward with another candidate’ email from the generic company account and then a second email from the recruiter saying the hiring manager thought I was a good fit for the organization with a link to their hiring page and a request to apply for other positions. Is this a ‘new thing’? With Amazon the recruiter had a specific job they wanted to talk to me about but this is different. Any insights?

So I recently interviewed for an associate PM role with my current company. I’ve been a store manager with them for 11 years. During the interviews, I felt like things were growing great and the feedback I got at the end was great. You’d think given my time knowing the product/ company for so long, that I’d be a great fit but I got rejected and haven’t gotten feedback probably will get ghosted. Should I shoot my shot and advocate for myself with the hiring manager either way?

I relocated with my family to Ireland recently, one month ago, and while I got a lot of screening calls with recruiters, I did not hear back from any of them after our interview. I am still on the process of getting my work permit and I am very clear about this during the interviews, but I suspect that this is the reason why I am not getting any call back.
