After the interview at Genpact . They called next day, congratulated me for selecting in the interview and had a salary discussion. She is got to offer as I expected and also offered the joining bonus and asked me to wait for 2 to 3 working days to get the offer. After 3 days tried reaching them but no response and after dropping an email got a call from other HR stating that position is on hold so don't wait for the genpact.

Is this common from Genpact.

Turns out the salary and benefits were meant as lowkey bribes to insure I worked at the company without actually doing any work. My partner got a City of Toronto offer. Salary band is 104-121k. HR asked for his expectations and he said 115k.
