I graduated law school in 2016 and work at a small-medium size firm. What should my salary be compared to other firms? (In the process of applying to other firms and I think I currently make on the lower end)

Friend of mine was supposed to receive an offer (told verbally) from Deloitte and then just found out they are pausing on hiring the role. How common is that? Seems wildly unprofessional that none of the partners called and instead it was the recruiter conveying that news. At McKinsey, if that happened, the head of the practice or the office would personally make the phone call at the very least.

Any Deloitte recruiter in here to help me on my application? I am stuck on submitting the application because it is saying ''there is an existing application by this phone number, so log in continue", but I can't see any continue option!
