What I’ve learned working in the dental field is that everyone wants to blame each other and not take any accountability. If your coworkers/manager do things that go against your beliefs, find a job where you have coworkers/manager that respect you.
Temp hyg should have already had the schedule explained to her with who needed an exam/X-rays (although we know how to chart audit as well) coming into an office blind can be difficult as a temp. You are right — everyone dropped the ball. But as a type A person that I am and a frequent temping hygienist I audit the schedule before I start the day as well bc I like to know what is e or of me and I can ask any questions about each patient as needed
There’s no need to feel misunderstood by management or co-workers. That’s why they are managers, to manage operations in general, and support staff. Everyone has a role to do, and do it to the best of the company/employee’s standards. If you are encountering “who is the one to be blamed”, or “done taking” kind of situation, then you are in front of “it’s my way or the high way” scenario here. All parts are somehow responsible because a temp, needs to know the office work routines to avoid this.
I have done quite a bit of temping up until recently. Rarely do they really prepare you. They mostly just throw you in and good luck to you. I have all but stopped temping.
